Class of 1812 is one of those games that could be so much more to play than it is. And that's a damn shame.

The Good:
This game looks fantastic. I mean for a monster theme the only game I may like better are the Elvira games. Sorry Monster Bash... The BG has the relief on it that just looks brilliantly done. Fat Drac, Wolfman in Fez, Medusa Mummy, Farmer Mort and the Kilt wearing Mad-hatter with the Pirhana teeth. Awesome Character from the word go. The sounds are brilliant and I can' help but at least smile if not quietly chuckle to myself when I hear the chickens do their thing in multiball. So much to shoot for.

The Bad:
Parts like the heart the hand and the BG are hard to find if you can find them at all. So much to shoot for but why bother with anything else other than multiball... A completely unbalancing ruleset that needs to be addressed "CALLING MYSTERY PROGRAMMER!"

The Takeaway:
A fun game that is... great fun. Great for the kiddies. The way it feels, it puts me in the same space as when I was a little kid watching an episode of Scooby Doo on Saturday morning... which is most righteous! As a player, multiball over and over. That's not a bad thing... it's just the way it is.

When you're looking for a non-serious game of pinball, Class of 1812 is the game to play.
Music and sounds are awesome too!

I love this game. Don't know why. It is simple but yet so much fun. It makes you smile. I hope to never have to sell it. This one is a keeper for me

1812 is a easy, fun, fast machine for any player no matter the skill level.
Beating heart, chattering teeth and the Chicken's clucking the 1812 overture.
Not the deepest rule set but it still has some challenge to it.
As I said anyone can play and still have fun, Love it:)

A very strange game with some interesting toys and weird ramps/ball locks... Only played 2 games on it, so gard to get a feel for the depth, but personally I fin't the artwork too 'ugly' to want to own it, and therefore play it more!

Weird theme, which is kind of refreshing in today's world of unimaginitive licensed movie themes. The voice callouts are hillarious and what could be better than chickens clucking the 1812 overture? Gameplay felt a little clunky though.

I wasn't expecting much from this game since it was a Gottlieb. Man, was I surprised. It "feels" or plays like a Bally game. Specifically, it feels like playing a TAF. The toys/gimmicks on this are cheesy but they work -- especially the beating heart multiball. Voice calls are superb and the Chicken Balk of 1812 might have replaced the BK2K song as my favorite pinball music.

Seriously underrated. If you find it in good condition, play it and you'll love it.

How can you possibly not like a game that has a chicken singing along to the 1812 symphony? Fairly simple but fun game with great sounds.

This game is a lot of fun and the audio is really catchy. It could have been much better, but the rules are fairly shallow and there is only one (2-ball) multiball mode in the game. Still, it's unique and great for a quick game that often leads to several quick games in a row for me.

There is something for everyone on this playfield if you're kind of quirky. I guess I would save all the toys on the playfield but reposition each one to make for a little bit smoother gameplay. This game was made by someone with a good sense of humor and don't get me wrong...it IS fun.

I have owned this machine for 3 years never had a major electrical or mechanical issue, i still play this one often but not as much as my other 3 pins.
The playfield has a good layout with plenty of shots, but the game is let down by its lame rule set and limited goals. There is 2 ramps, 2 sets of drop targets with more targets behind, a spinner, kick out hole, 3 pop bumpers, so plenty to go for just a simple score system. There are 2 main toys here one is a large beating heart which increases its tempo at certain parts of the game, and also this game has a set of chattering/talking teeth.
The playfield and cabinet artwork are average its like spooky and cartoonish, i've seen better. But the backglass artwork is incredible, its a spooky scene with the game characters etc and its all set on a 3D vacuum formed plastic set behind the glass, i think it looks cool.
Sound and music on this game are good and blend well with the game lighting, one great aspect of sound is when multiball is going there is chickens clucking away to the tune of the 1812 overture, it always raises a laugh.
In my overall opinion its just below average, limited rule set, it only has a 2 ball multiball and the artwork lets it down and its good points just cant balance out the bad points.

Played by my brother so I might have a different opinion than him. But he said it is "quite clunky."
