Not so good.

An endlessly fun table that succeeds despite its theme, not because of it. Who knew a Circus themed pin could be so good?

Circus Voltaire gets my vote for the best looking pinball game. Something about the art style really grabs my attention, and I may like the art more than the game. It also has one of the coolest songs I've ever heard from a Pinball machine, which sounds like a evil version of a common circus tune. The Ringmaster is a really cool toy and gimmick for the game that is always fun to shoot at, however the rest of the playfield doesn't seem too special to me. Really, in all honesty, I think this game has everything going for it, EXCEPT for the game play. Just my opinion, though.

One of my favorite pins to play. Cost is always an issue when wanting to own one!

This is the Bally game at the top of my want list. I wish I could find this game. I love the theme and I love the wizard mode in this game. The sounds are great and when your done you can't wait to press the start button again.

Like this pin alot.
Just not enough to pay what they currently sell for.
Love the overall theme and the game play is generally good.

It grows on you. My pin is a sample version and came with the 0.1 beta ROM. It didn't flow well. I upgraded to the 2.0H ROM and it made all the difference in the world. Great design jpop!

Table is flat out beautiful with a great use of color. Is a bit on the easy side, but still a lot of fun and well paced. Nice gimmicks too.

Fun game, deep rule set, seems to go on forever. It has beautiful artwork throughout.

Beautiful pinball machine to look at, however I found it to be rather easy and a bit boring after 30 minutes of play.

Hands down the most colorful and interesting playfield ever done. This game never gets old the stacking of multiballs is alway exciting. The unique location of the DMD and the Smart Ass Ringmaster make this an addictive experience. The sad thing is that they are so hard to find in the wild in good condition. Many people give this a low rating yet it is near the top of the list, everyone has different likes and dislikes but to rate this game a two or three seems like there may be an alternative agenda in play.

There can be quite a bit of stop and go with this pin, but I don't feel it's a bad thing. I actually enjoy being able to take a breath now and then and shots to the magnets (high wire, juggler, ringmaster) are fun. I especially love the animations for locking balls to the high wire (magnet stops the ball in its tracks and the DMD shows a woman "stopping" the ball with her "power". The pop up 3rd jet, the motorized ringmaster, juggler 'juggling' balls, and animated back box set this machine apart. This one has been in my collection the longest and will probably never leave.

Had one in my collection for a couple of years. I really tried to like it, but just couldn't. A beautiful game to look at, but, for me, no fun to play. It's almost worth having this game for its artwork. Almost.

I remember this machine at the Dairy Queen ever so slightly when I was growing up, and it it still there and rotting as it has been for the past 7 years in a locked up gameroom. I tried to call the owner of the gameroom to see if he might sell, a no go.

I did manage to find this machine with a collector who was willing to let go of it and picked it up! NEVER thought this would be one I would own, and it makes an excellent addition to the gameroom in progress. This is a sample machine in collectors quality, perhaps in the top 5% on quality. Playfield is excellent, backglass has about 3 minor scuffs, cabinet is excellent with perhaps 5 minor imperfections that take time to find. Wife fell in love with it and I have some good memories of the ringmaster from back then, as do my parents and their well used quarters from back then.

I loved Circus Volitaire from the first plunge. This game just has it. It's awesome to look at it and even better to play. It's got a ton of multi balls and great action.

I think that I should probably start my ratings with the line that I have at least 20 to 100 games on the games I have rated (or in the case of TSPP, I have almost 3000 games on that one). I will not rate a game after only a few plays or playing on a machine with obvious mechanical problems. I like the DMD placement.....I think that is my list of likes. I am not a fan of the blown out colors or the backglass. A plastic ball in a metal spiral? Again not a fan. I do not like the rules or gameplay and have no desire to throw more money in it (maybe some free games in someones collection). If you like fluff over quality content, go nuts, not my cup of tea. I met Jpop, I like Jpop, he is a hell of a nice guy, I hope his new Zombie pin is an instant hit. I do not like this pin.

The machine just has a different feel to it, the out lane design threw me off at first.
The theme is great and it's a lot of fun.

Such a cool game, just unique in every fashion fom most games of that era. I love the DMD in the pinball and a little more action in the backglass, might as well use all that wasted space, the cannon toy just adds a different element! Ringmaster toys are cool and while I think the music bugs some people, I love the music and effects in the game. Cool novelty game but game play eventually gets a little repetitive and easy for me.

bought this a couple of weeks ago, and haven't had a smooth game on it yet. Maybe once I work out the bugs - balls that disappear (shouldn't that be on Theatre of Magic), balls stuck coming out of the trough, stop and start games while the pin looks for the balls - I will think it is a better game.
