Blackout (Williams, 1980)

Blackout

Blackout

Launch Mission!

Blackout was the first machine to have a computer controlled general illumination effect. This is seen during the "BLACKOUT" sequence. Williams used a relay mounted in the backbox. This relay would interrupt power to the playfield GI lamps.

It also uses the same lane change concept first introduced by Williams "Firepower."

The sounds are pure 80s and the voice sounds like a computer. All in all, this is a solid state classic that will keep you coming back for more! Orbit Completed!
