You have to watch the movie to get into this game. Its a faithful rendering of the events in the film.

Sega's best pin. Often looked as an STTNG clone; BF burrows the cannon (Batwing), uses a Batgun grip, some of the shots feel the same (ball lock), & Batmobile rooftop chase video mode is oddly similar to the space shuttle simulator. BF is a widebody with tons of flowing shots. Electric-green wire ramps are a must-see especially the one that goes under the apron. Allows player to choose rules for their game (Novice/Regular) at start for accesibility. Light show & translite are great. PF/cabinet art are not bad. Lots of quotes & faithful music score recreation. Shame Sega didn't get Seal or U2's soundtrack contributions into the game. Lots of DMD animations on jumbo display. Supports up to 6 players. Best feature is doubles play, enforcing the theme of Batman & Robin working as the dynamic duo. Players 1/3 & Players 2/4 have to combine their scores to beat the other team. Because of the Sega stereotyping BF goes for very little. If you can't afford Stern's BDK, BF is the next best thing.

It is ok but felt like a cheap toy . did not like the green ramps at all. The bat cave kicker is cool tho.

This game's artwork and lightshow are really good. Would look great with LEDs. Nicole Kidman actually looks good but I wish there was more of her. I like the green wireforms because they are so different and goes well with the Riddler theme. The Batwing cannon is a cool toy but the Batcave annoys me because it makes that side of the game feel cluttered and dark. The animations look great on that huge DMD. It has a bunch of good quotes from the movie. The playfield is fairly open with some long shots but the game is kinda left flipper heavy. There are a bunch of modes and most require accurate shots to accomplish. The game has very good flow and speed for a widebody. The cabinet and playfield are very sturdy and this is probably the heaviest pin I've had to carry. Unfortunately the pistol grip is plastic and gives a cheap feel to the game. Wish it were made of metal like IJ's. Anyway, this game looks and sounds great, is fun to play, and is a bargain at the going price.

This game is beautiful. I found it a little too dark until I added LEDs to mine but the art on the playfield and backglass is excellent. Some will ding the game for the movie being "bad". But hey, it's Batman, and with the star power that was in the movie it makes for good game content both in the art and the recognizable voices. Plus, the game is gorgeous in my opinion. Some don't like the colors (green, in particular) but I find it eye catching and perfect for Batman. The game looks great if you own one and add LEDs. The game is often cast as a poor man's Star Trek Next Generation -- and there are some similarities. However, I have both games and enjoy them both. I wouldn't rate it at the same level as the Star Trek, but I think it's Sega's best effort. With the oversized display and wide-body and fairly deep rule set, it is clear that Sega sunk some money into this one. Not sure it turned out that great for them financially, but it turns out great for collectors and given the discriminatory attitude of many against Sega games, this game can be had for relatively bargain prices.

The team play feature is awesome. Really adds a lot to the social aspects of pinball. Really a fun wide body game.

Overall a really great looking game with plenty of features. The sound variation could be better but for all Batman fans out there this is a good pin.

Some great features are on this machine, and the plunger is cool (pulling the trigger to shoot the ball) and some modes are fun, but something just doesn't feel right...overall ok.

This game uses it's flashers very well. I really like the sequence they go through when you start multiball, especially if you are playing in complete darkness.

Great Sega game with novel approach to rules - beginner / expert skill levels.
