Ba-ba-bad-bad. This game is so addicting to play. I catch myself hitting the start button over and over. Simple rules, cheesy theme, and the catchy music is great. It's nice to play a game that you don't have to think too much about how to approach it. Qualifying the two ball multiball is easy...which is good, because its not easy to keep the multiball going. Juicing spinners a bit is recommended so the 20K a spin value during multiball is worthwhile. Man the game is fun

This game is a better version if 8 ball deluxe. It has more going on with fantastic music. Gottlieb really got music and audio right in this era. The theme is.....something. how do you spice up another pool theme? Girls who are bad I guess. Over all it's a very enjoyable game. The loop shots are very fun to shoot. They're buttery smooth. Be sure to keep your left flipper up when the ball lock ejects to the left wireform!

Brilliant layout with fun ruleset and wonderful 80s cheese: Chef's kiss

Music is top tier... honestly. Mitchell's art is cheesy. Not a fan of the art style of translite. Gameplay and music blew me away. Cabinet glass design is so late 80's. Love this machine. I personally own a great example. Game plays fast. The U in the top right of the playfield with the spinner is one of the cleanest shots from Gottlieb.

One of the better Gottlieb games for this time period. Art needs some getting used to. Nice mirrors!

Had never heard of nor played Bad Girls a couple of months ago, but I got a random call about one for sale in my area...the price was right so I took a chance.

Very happy with the purchase. It plays fast. It's fun. With LED upgrades, the playfield looks great. Relatively easy multiball feature and the middle playfield lights for the balls you still have to hit are really cool looking.

The music and overall theme just scream 80's goodness.

If you have the chance, put a half dozen plays on this one. You'll be glad you did.

The game is very under rated! Great overlooked game... However the translite is ugly and most examples of it are very faded out. Good thing someone is finally making an alternate for the machine!

I like Gottlieb 80b’s but was reluctant to pick up Bad Girls because the horrible translite and with 80b’s, that’s the norm but this one just made me cringe. That said, I’m glad I finally picked one up. Game play is fast and definitely requires a level of skill to get anywhere. There is a lot to shoot for and the playfield is very well laid out.

The game itself screams 80’s from the artwork to the sounds. The music reminds me of classic 80’s movies like “Fletch”. If you can pick this machine up at a good price, it’s definitely a great bang for your buck game.

For anyone who came of age in the eighties its the perfect time capsule. Engaging game with some nice lighting effects and sounds for its time. I designed a custom translite for mine, kept the original as well. I love the quirky Gottlieb titles, so I’m kind of biased here. Good playing game, which is what matters the most.

This is a crazy fun game. It doesn't look it and I think that's part of the reason it scares people away. The skillshot is the hardest one I know of, and when you hit it, it feels like a true accomplishment. That combined with the upper-flipper lock shot is a thing of beauty... when it happens.

The music is awesome, as that goes for most Gottliebs. It varies during gameplay and never gets boring. I love how it quiets itself down between plunges, why don't more games do this? I also love the sound effects on the spinners, WOW! Probably the best spinner to hit in any game that I know (or tied with ACDC at least).

The flashers work well with gameplay. Hitting good shots is extra fun because of this. One small gripe I have is GI, I wish it was brighter.

The rules are mostly perfect. I don't understand the reasoning behind making the pop bumper jackpot so random and yet so valuable. I guess the better player will be able to keep the ball alive longer and therefore have a better shot at the jackpot, but still, it's too random for me. Everything else is perfect though. Drops, multiball, reracks, lit spinners, loops, top lanes, multipliers.... so much to do!

One knock, and I don't know if it is a knock, is the artwork. It's purposely cheesy. The backglass is horrid and so is the cabinet, but that's done on purpose. Cheese builds on cheese, and I love it. It's the perfect 80s game.

That said, I think the playfield could have been better. The middle area is such a waste and is for decoration only. I get that it's supposed to be a mirrored pool table, as shown in the backglass and seen on the side of the cabinet, but it just doesn't do it for me. It's a valiant effort, but misses the mark.

Lastly, this is a FAST PACED GAME. You better be able to react quickly. The center post will save you from SDTM drains, but everything else is up to you. It's hard to brick a shot, which is a good thing, but ball control is a whole other issue. You gotta be accurate and quick in order to succeed on this one. It'll keep you coming back for more.

All in all, this is a great game at such an amazing price. I'd rather play/own this game than most of what comes out on the market these days. I'm very shocked at how awesome it is. I purchased it at Pintastic, and then played it a few times thinking it was just an average game. When I was able to bring it back and play without disruption and so I could actually hear the thing, that made a world of difference.

The rating on this game is flawed btw. The "artwork" rating will be low, but that's also part of the beauty of the game: BAD ARTWORK. It's so bad, it's good!

There is just no game that is more stuck in the late 80's than Bad Girls is, and lots people despise the game for that. I love it for the same reason. Bad Girls takes bad (but good) taste to the next level. And it doesn't matter from what angle you look at it.

The game is clearly influenced by 80's pop culture, and in particular by Michael Jackson's 1987 album Bad. The font on the translite and head sides are an exact copy of the font used on MJ's album. And the game plays a tune that is almost an exact copy of Another Part Of Me, track #6 on MJ's album. But Gottlieb wouldn't be Gottlieb if they didn't make sure they didn't have to pay any licensing fees.

The backglass on this thing has been debated a lot. It's a photograph of some models enacting an amazingly awkward 80's pub scene. You couldn't make this up even if tou tried. It really is so bad that it's good again. Honorable mention for the way Gottlieb presents their logo above the translite. The way it's backlit somehow adds even more to the campy feel of the game.

The details from the translite scene come back on other parts of the machine: the mirrors (yes, mirrors: very original. very 80's) on the cabinet sides are the same style of the pool table on the translite. And the mirrored surface of the pool table is seen in the middle of the playfield.

The gameplay isn't half bad. A mirrored (again!) copy of Eight Bally Deluxe, with some interesting twists. When tuned up, the game flows nice, plays extremely fast and is very unforgiving.

In all, if you're a lover of the more obscure pins, can appreciate some really bad taste ánd some good gameplay, Bad Girls is the machine for you.

Very fun game. Good value for the money and in my opinion, very underrated.

The playfield has many different features to shoot for and there is a 2 ball multiball feature. Although the theme may not appeal to everyone, it is a solid playing game that is fast!

This has to be one of my favorite Gottlieb pinballs of all time. If the Vista cruiser from that seventies show embodies the seventies then Bad Girls embodies the eighties. Put some Duran Duran on the boom box, break out the hair moose and find your favorite girl in a black leather mini skirt. The game successfully embodies the feel of its era. The unique mirror cabinet just adds to the enjoyment. The fact that the pool mod in the middle of the playfield is still available as NOS make it a fun restoration. The game has most of the typical play features that Gottlieb was using at the time. Given it's relatively low production number (800) , Bad Girls is somewhat rare and a good unusual piece for any collection.

The art and sound package are a bit silly, but comical can be fun too. The game play though is very good. This game is basically eight ball deluxe on steroids. They copied the layout (reversed it though) but added a multiball and a few other very cool features to make it even more interesting, like some jackpots for hitting the pop bumpers a certain number of times when lit and the rerack standup jackpot. Very fast and very fun!!

Yes, the art package is very dated. It's kind of a snap shot of that era for better or for worse. I find it amusing. The game has a nice variety of shots. It plays rather fast as I have it set up. Great game for the money.

Bought this pin for a game night at a golf course...wasn't going to go into my house, but now it will be part of my collection. It is a fun fast pinball machine. Good variety of shots and lots of fun to play. Underrated!

Forget about what other people rate this game; ignore the back-glass. Play it a few game where you actually trying to get points. Its actually very addicting and very hard to get the 8 ball in. It is a very good game for beginners and advanced players. I consider myself advanced and I am able to play an hour without issues.

Bad Girls should really be called Ugly Girls that are fun to play with.

The Pros:
A flipped Eight Ball Deluxe playfield with some creative additions and a vari target. Lots to shoot for and lots to do. The rack under the PF window helps keep your eyes on the PF. Jon Norris did a great job with the PF. The Skill shot is nicely done. Multiball is simple and well implemented. A row of standups behind a row of drop targets is always something that requires skillfull aim... and therefore, I love it.

The Cons:
Tiny blue numbers make me squintilize my eyes. I shouldn't need glasses to play pinball. Where did Constantino Mitchell (his work is hard to look at in illustration or photographic form) find the models for this BG??? Let's hope these bad girls didn't breed.

The Takeaway:
This game looks so Bad that it adds to the table's charm. I know a good joke (on me, the pinball player) when I see one. A most entertaining table to play with lots of good shots. Now, if the looks of the game offend you so much, go play a game that looks great and plays like a complete trainwreck. Get your game on play a Lost Wrold, Nitro Ground Shaker or a Champion Pub. Then come back to this game and enjoy a better playing than looking pinball game. A good flipping/borrowing of EBD PF. If you can find one cheap and enjoy playing the deck... why not? It'll look great next to your World Poker Tour.

Pretty fun game. Doesn't get the best reviews because of the backglass which is one of its major draw backs. The women pictured on the backglass are dressed in 80's attire and have 80's haircuts which is when the game was released. The bad bad bad song which is the only words spoken during the game can get repetitive but you don't hear it a lot, only once or twice per game unless you are really good.

Game has good flow and is a fast playing pin. It shows no mercy though as there is no save feature for balls drained down either sides. Once they are gone they are gone, although I believe it the ball drains right after you put it into play and you don't hit anything at all, it gives you the the chance to shoot again. There is a bumper in between the bottom two flippers which can give you a second chance if the ball goes directly down the middle and you let the ball bounce back out. Unless you are a wizard, average game play is around 2-2 1/2 minutes for a complete game. You will not more than likely have a 1 hour game with this machine. Playfield has a nice pool them but unfortunately has the same women with there boyish 80's charm on a part of the playfield. Lots of colorful pool balls and pool thems line the field. Lots of fun things to shoot for. You have to knock down 8 targets to be able to shoot for the 8 ball. A insert under the field shines through a reflective piece of plexifglass. The pool balls that you need to need to hit shine through the plexiglass so you know which ones you have to go for. If a ball drains, it saves what targets you already dropped so you don't have to start over again and can pick up where you left off. Once you hit the 8 ball, the bad bad music starts up. A bonus starts counting down and you are to try and hit all 8 knock down targets to spell the word rerack to get the bonus. Very hard to do in the time you are alotted. If you don't complete rerack in the allotted time, the pop up target reset and you begin a new game of pool.

Knock down the 8 ball target which gives you access to multi ball regardless of what other balls you need to drop. Shoot past the dropped 8 ball target and the ball gets locked in a hole to the rear of 8 ball target and doesn't eject until the 2nd ball is shot onto the field and makes contact with any target. The ball is ejected up and into a habit rail where it comes down at the left flipper at a very high rate of speed!

When pop bumpers are flashing, you have to hit them the indicated number of times without hitting anything else on the playfield in order to get the pop bumper bonus which is huge. There is a vari target that increases in points each time you push it all the way back. It starts out at 50,000 than increases 2x, 5x ect each time you hit it although it resets back to 50,000 after your ball drains.

Pretty fun game. Difficult to keep a ball going for too long as there is no saving devices and gameplay is fast. I find it has a pretty high replay value. Some of the shots like the vari target and some of the drop targets are pretty tough to get and can be quite challenging though. Very fast gameplay, one of the fastest I have ever played. One through four players. Sound is good for a game of it's age and most of the music/sndfx doesn't get annoying. Pretty good game for a beginning to moderate pinball player. Since there the playfield isn't overpopulated it is easy to understand what shots you need to make to get the most points and what you have to do. I guess as it seems all older games go, you don't get 5 billion points for hitting one target. It is hard to get 5 million on this table in one game! You do get 105,000 for completing the skill shot which is when the ball rolls over a switch in the field once, than rolls back over the switch again. I am pretty happy with mine and have been playing it daily for a while now. If you want to see videos of it in action, I will be uploading some videos to youtube soon. Just type in Bad girls. My user name is grabmygoobers.

All in all fun game. I feel this game is very overlooked possibly because the cheesy backglass, but take a minute to play it and I think you will find it pretty enjoyable.
