I got to play the black edition with the color dmd, and man was it fun play and look at. lights on all the saucers, backlight, shaker motor that felt right and fun video modes.

Simply put, this is my favorite game game. This game just has the "it" factor. Sure, the playfield seems a little empty, especially when compared to the other top games from this era. And the rules are not overly complicated, either. But when you start actually playing AFM, the game is better than the sum of its parts. An all-time classic that will never leave my collection.

Why is it that the bragging rights of playing AFM is how many gazillions of points you can score in one game. Yes people always talk about how high their score is on a game but they also add how much fun they had and/or what a challenge it was. AFM players "Dude I just scored 2,000 Quadrillion points" end of conversation.

Fun game, shots are a little repetitive and playfield art a little hohum. Strobe multiball is really cool. I love the theme and sounds though. I doubt I'll ever own one since I don't feel the price justifies the game features.

I love the saucer, I love the Martians, I love strobe multiball, I love sneak attack, I love the sound of the guy yelling "Total Annihilation!".

The sound clips in general are not as good as MM, but the animations are excellent! The extra ball sequence is my favorite in all of pinball, and I never failed to be amused by watching the Martian saucer beam pulling at the Tower of Pisa. Overall an excellent game, and a really accessible one for beginners too.

With the color DMD mod, you will not find a game cooler than this. I do not own one, but hope to add a nice one someday. I love the ridiculously high scoring. You can score a trillion, are you kidding me? The dancing aliens, spaceships, sounds, energy, theme of world domination, etc... make this game an all time classic.

I like this game a lot. There is so much going on at times, it's hard to keep your eye on the ball. The theme and music is outstanding. Really fun one to play for both me and my son.

Sometimes, less is more, and Attack From Mars is one of my favorite games because of that. You may hear many people say that Medieval Madness one-upped Attack From Mars, but Attack From Mars is the game that I will come back to play again & again. Beyond the instantly attractable theme (martians! space!), you get a simply flow-riffic shot layout, jiggling martians to whack, strobe multiball, and the mother of all center shots to destroy the spaceship. All of this while experiencing endless belly-laughs from THE FUNNIEST callouts in all of pinball. Attack From Mars. Best game ever.

A very good theme with even nicer flow, but i cant help but get a little bored after a while. Some of the gameplay can be a little repetitive, but for the most part its a good 'un. I'd buy it for strobe multiball alone.

I was a little skeptical when I first saw AFM as it appeared rather bland and the playfield was quite baron. Once I turned it on and had my first game all that changed, I bought it before I played another round. Its great and a must have for a serious collector................ZOD

Yeah, it's a lot of 'up the middle' shots, but heck, it works! This one is a ton of fun and destroying the UFO is awesome. The shaking toys and phenomenal lighting really set the mood. Play this one and you'll smile every time! I can see how this could get a little repetitive in a collection, with a less complex rule-set, but it is AMAZING.

Attack from mars deserves one of the top spots. Great flow with great sound and DMD animations. Rule set is awesome with plenty to do. Truly a collectors piece.
