When I was bright eyed, bushy tailed, and new to pinball, I bought this STTNG from a showroom salesman for $6000. It played great for a fresh fish like me in the showroom, but once I got it home I realized it needed a bit of fine tuning. One thing led to another and I was knee deep in upgrading and bulletproofing this game. This machine has been shopped out to the extreme and cleaned thoroughly to say the least. All opto’s have been replaced, including new trough boards and new opto resistor board. New plastics, posts, ramps, subways, ramp and subway guards. The 8-driver board has been completely bulletproofed with tie-back and resistor modifications. LED and GI OCD boards with all comet LED’s and flashers. ColorDMD and Flipper Fidelity speakers and sub... and way more listed below.
I went through all of my past parts orders and totaled up how much I have invested in this machine. Some of the upgrades, mods, and extras are listed below, but all-in I have $3,307.27 in parts and upgrades on this pin. This does not include obviously the time and labor I put into it, but you can’t put a value on that. If you are truly curious, I can send you the compiled list of every part purchased for this game.
I’m going to be straight-up with you, I have over $9300 into this machine and I know it’s impossible to recoup that cost. It plays perfectly and is pretty dang bulletproof from the issues that so often plague this machine. I am asking $6000 for it and would really prefer to get $6000. No low-ball offers. I just simply want to get back what I paid for it and am taking a huge loss on the shopping and upgrades. Plays great, I’m just trying to make room for a new machine.
Here is a video showing it is in operational order...
