Someone find out and post for us if WOZ will be there all weekend. If not, when to when. Thanks

#2 11 years ago

My understanding is Thursday until Sunday morning. 2 of them.

I believe the whole time. It is going to be a great showing. I think there may be a major update of progress especially showing off the "new" code. I am looking forward to it and it seems to be progressing nicely.

#4 11 years ago

I emailed Jen on Monday and asked this very question....she told me it would be there from Thursday evening (start of the Jersey Jack seminar at 8 PM) and leaving sometime on Saturday. If things have changed since Monday I'm not aware of that.

#5 11 years ago

Hoping they include some modes this time...

#6 11 years ago

Nice to hear. I should be able to see it then.

#7 11 years ago

No WOZ yet, as far as I could see. Can't wait to see it though and I'm sure tomorrow it will be here!

#8 11 years ago

I can't make it till friday night or saturday morning now. I really am eager to see it in person too.

#9 11 years ago

I would love some non WOZ fanatics feedback. Selling SM and planned to buy an M3 but after the last video I am considering a WOZ and the car in spring.
So non biased opinions are very welcome.
And HAVE FUN!

#10 11 years ago

Mmmm. An M3 is in my future........... Good choice.

#11 11 years ago

Get the car and buy WOZ in the spring when you can play it yourself. No need to take the word of anybody else when you can try it yourself soon once it is actually finished. If you were to order now it will be be at least spring before you can get it.

Why an M3, do you you already have something to haul pins in?

I dont haul pins but I do like to haul ass! : )

#13 11 years ago

Play the game then decide. I have never and would never buy a game without playing it first. Why do you think so many games go up for sale a week or two after the purchase?

If someone at the show has one of these handy, might see if Jack is interested in borrowing it.

Is that an empty connector near the bottom of the ball?

#33 11 years ago

I'm glad I'm viewing this on my laptop, makes it much easier to view the pictures.

That is the first time I have seen a spotlight in the game. Also notice the little spider at the wiring area of the spotlight

Is there a dude scarfing a bag of cool ranch doritos and smudging up the game? Did that really happen?? SECURITY!!

Is there a video of the presentation?

#40 11 years ago

The cool ranch scent is part of what makes the LEs special

#41 11 years ago
Quoted from DrStarkweather:

"Shipping by Christmas?" -audience
"Which Christmas?" -Jack
Keith says programming is 80% done.

Jack's actual response to the question "Will it be shipping by Christmas?" was:

"What year?" (and got some chuckles)

He also said that operators WILL jump the line and get their games before people with numbers. He said getting the game out in the public is more important than people being upset that they got jumped. I agree.

#42 11 years ago

There are well under 100 op orders for the LE anyways (wasn't the number reported as 40? 60?), so it's not like that's a big delay. Even at 15 a day, that's like a week. Not sure how many standards were ordered by ops, though.

#43 11 years ago

I got to play it. It's beautiful, but very slow.

And they still have the leg levelers at a low pitch. Wonder why they don't jack it up a bit more?

Quoted from RobT:

Probably because he wants it setup to NOT kick everybody's ass in less than a minute.
Every game doesn't have to be Tron or IM.

Quoted from RobT:

If the game is designed to appeal to women and children, then we might all have to accept that it is not going to be a fast game.

That does not mean that it won't be fun!

#47 11 years ago

Got to play it tonight. Looks amazing in person. Seems to have lots of potential but code seems to very far from complete. And the ball kept getting stuck at the flying monkey.

#48 11 years ago

It was fast at Comic Con. So it all appears to depend on how it's set up (plus these are prototypes, so there's no guarantee they have the exact same mechanicals).

#49 11 years ago

I played it, and I agree that it is slow. The game is beautiful. Feels very solid. Excellent fit and finish. Everything we've heard before. No new modes, nothing new other than a "Game Over" sequence. (Which isn't NEW, but most have not seen yet.)

I know it's not done, blah, blah, blah, but I wish the lights didn't cycle continuously while the ball was in play. I found the LEDs very distracting and it cost me the first ball (of 2).

#50 11 years ago

Stuck how? It's a series of magnets. Do you mean stuck behind the Flying Monkey lock door?
