Mine has a ball save on ball 1 only, and the the buy in ball.
EDIT: i have old software, not the 9+s
This was killing me too! Thank God for the 9.4H with ball save on all balls!
Yeah I haven't looked into the 9.4. I wasn't interested in it because I heard it changes things in the game like that, and adds a cheap-o LITZ starter that I am def against. Some of the other things didn't interest me like pausing the flippers.
What I was just told is that the later ROMS add a buy-in scoreboard...witch the game originally didn't have. Now I have to think about upgrading.

the LOTZ cheat.
I will probably never see it without the ability to practice it in the H ROM. I think it is a pretty great addition. Why is it cheating? I see it as practice if you are playing normal. It does not add the score in the practice mode. Cheating is when you take the glass off and roll the ball by hand.

Basically you are doing something that you didn't earn, and I think it cheapens it. I'm not really "against" it and it's not a big deal to me at all. That's just my opinion and I wouldn't do it, but people can do whatever they like with their own machines. BUT...since you brought it up, it is exactly like taking the glass off activating modes in order to get LITZ. It's just making it easier for you...in fact it's more lazy which makes it worse
I don't like the pausing part either. I like the real experience of it. Hit the multiball and run super quick upstairs to get a beer and be back in time to hit a jackpot.

The one beef I have with the 9.4 roms is that it cuts off "Going My Way" when it results in lighting Battle the Power. That bugs me.
Yeah that would bug me too.

I agree 100%.
I never play the LITZ cheat myself, but my neices and nephews don't notice when I activate it during there game. They get a big surprise when they shoot into the slot machine and it starts up. It doesn't cheapen it for them because they are not getting to LITZ anytime soon and probably never.

Thats the way I feel, my boys and wife never see it and the score does not count. If you take the glass off the score will run up. That is actually cheating.

Well exactly. If it's something you're not able to do, then the cheat, er "Practice Mode" is fine

I definitely agree with this as well.
LITZ would seem a lot less special if you could just get to it whenever you wanted in order to "practice".
I can't imagine doing that. It would be like doing the same thing on AFM and Rule the Universe, or Tron and Portal. Definitely waters down the excitement of getting to those modes/goals.
LitZ is honestly not very hard to get to if you focus on that, assuming the machine isn't too hard. Focusing on LiTZ is just not a good strategy for getting high scores, since it only pulls like 300-some million, which is poor payback considering what you need to do to get it.
It's 29 shots, 43 if you avoid the slot. (subtract 2 for each door panel you spot, 3 if you are avoiding the slot, so 27 or 40 if you make the skillshot).
Certainly a much easier proposition than on most games.
I don't have 9.4H yet, and can't see myself using the LiTZ mode myself, maybe to surprise people...
I like the LITZ cheat. I set up a game for my non pinhead guest and you should see their reactions when they get it.
At first they are like the game is broke because of the delay (animation and light show), I tell them to wait a bit, and when it starts chucking balls at them after about the 3rd ball they are going holy crap!
I used it about 2 times myself, but quit the game after it ended. Just didn't feel like playing a full game.
