  1. I was cleaning up a coin door the other day and one of the coin chutes were jammed with nickles & dimes, I didn't think much of it untill I pulled the door off and started taking everything apart. when I removed the coin return cover I found the one side jammed with coins Odd thing is I've had this pin for a few years and never checked it until now.
-Strange the things you find in a pin coins or other

I found a billiard cue inside the cabinet on my LAH

  3. LOL @ lb45. Not surprising. Cabinet makes a great storage location for things.

  4. the weirdest stuff I ever found was in that 'Hurricane' I had last spring.
it was in this basement on the rough side of town looked like some kind of alter set up.
a photo of a large woman, a childs tea cup, and a hand written note in bad English with red ink. I'm no expert in the Macabre but I'm thinking some cat was visiting this pin and using the coin door as some type of secret alter either for fertility or perhaps sorrow/grief of one who passes before their time? -spooky.
I was left with a dilemma as to keeping that stuff in the pin for the next guy to deal thus washing my hands clean of it all - or throwing it away and tempting bad karma ?
    Hmm...what would you do?

I keep track of the stuff I find in my pins for my project blog site. Among the more interesting items:
    -a ping pong ball
    -a huge multi-meter from like the 70s
-a game token in a machine set up to take quarters

  8. The strangest thing I ever found was in a machine that came out of Mexico. You can possibly guess what it was (I won't say). Unfortunately it was a very small amount.

Ahh yes, BD was that inside a El Puffo Dragon del magico? See what happens when pins get made outside the US?

The pool cue, sounds like someone was using it to keep the playfield from falling on their head while working on it.

As for the stuff in the Hurricane, was that from New Orleans? Maybe some Bayou voodoo going on there. I with you, leave it for the next owner.

  10. oh the quarters & nickles were in a early 70s GTB. - sorry my bad should of been more clear on that one.

Letter K - you found a multi meter from the 70s?
In HS we used these huge military surplus (navy 1950s?) m.m.
all metal heavy hinged I'd like to find something vintage/cool in one of my pins

  11. I still have some vintage VTVM's Autumnfade .. you know .. with the small tubes .. they still work and are still accurate.

BTW my strange find was more like a "snowy day"

  12. Thats interesting BD,
wonder if tubes will make a come back?
I read a little about old amps from the 50s-60s have a different sound and are being sought after.
but then again I wouldn't be too surprised some underground bands are putting their music on vinyl & cassettes now

  13. When I picked up my STAR WARS, the guy wasn't there so his wife was kinda hovering around while I was getting it ready to move. I pulled the coin box out and there was an empty pint of vodka....she looked so pissed and knew which kid it was....haha, kinda ackward.

  15. Poor guy/kid .. I guess that's better than finding something illegal or some certain magazines thokennedy .. All I have to watch out for are message archives if the wife somehow gains access to my main computer

  16. Hahaha! You should have taken a picture of it in the machine thokennedy. Haven't had the pleasure of finding treasures in the cabinets.

  17. One of my machines had about 40 slot machine tokens jammed in the coin mechs. I had to take it all the way apart to get them all out.
