hey guys, I've been having a problem with one of my displays, segments missing, and been reading other threads in which replacing the ribbon cable, or reseating and cleaning solved the problem. I pulled the cable from the board and plugged it back in and it already improved the problem but did not make it disappear completely. So I've narrowed it down to the cause, but I'm not sure how or what to use to clean the connectors, how to reseat them, or how/where to get a replacement ribbon cable. This is probably extremely basic, but I'm new to this so every new issue is a learning experience and any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks a bunch!

Just to update, I was able to fix or at least temporarily correct the problem by simply wiggling the ribbon cable. I may go in there and check for cold solder joints on the connectors to be safe, and possibly replace to ribbon cable as well but for now its back to working perfectly.
