My JP machine is in almost mint condition. I have plenty extra bulbs except in the back glas there is a row of lights that flash on their own. The circuit is shared with #44s that stay on so I figure these light work like a christmas light flasher, random and all on their own since the are not board controlled. The glass is a true globe on them. The bulbs in the backglass are not in the manual. Does anyone know what these are so I can order some?

I dont think you will get those blinking bulbs anymore.
Have some in Apollo, must check the part number.

I think these were the original blinkers on TAF as well...(may be wrong on that one)

#7 10 years ago

Yep, I think 455 or 545's!

#8 10 years ago

Thanks everyone. Thats the creature I needed.

#9 10 years ago

Those are 455 blinkers. Cointaker carries LED versions.

anybody have a map of where the blinkers go?
Or are they shown in the manual?

#11 10 years ago

IIRC, the blinkers go along the bottom row of the backbox sockets in JP.

Aren't the sockets marked in some way?

I like to call these "blinkies."

#13 10 years ago

No marks and the backbox lights are not listed in the manual I have except for the 3 large flashers behind the trex image. Even the lights on top were omitted from the manual if I remember correctly.

#14 10 years ago

oh and yes the blinkies are on the bottom row only behind the character images of backglass.

#15 10 years ago

I hated the automatic blinkers and just put non-blinking bulbs in. The #45/#47s fit as well as any LED compatible with those sockets.

Someone should try blinkies in every GI socket in the game, both backbox and playfield. Heck why not controlled lamps?

I remember talking to a guy that said he was going to use color changers on the entire GI. Never heard from him again though. Probably committed suicide shortly after
