A route operator had this on location in Northern Wisconsin and he was pretty much done with it, Ive worked for his son on his house exterior and they gave it to me for labor trade replacing a bunch of bad siding boards, Thank you Woodpeckers!!!

grats man! I actually enjoy mine! I have had two now. I still have one currently on location.

#4 10 years ago

Sweet! You won't need Tron anymore. Let me know when I should pick it up.

#5 10 years ago

NICE!!!! Anyone inform why they did the backbox on these games plain

#6 10 years ago

Id love to know why. My guess is cost savings back then

#7 10 years ago

Congrats Flank!!! It's a fun game just for beating the ball around. Don't have to think too much. I've had mine for a couple years and still play it regularly. LED it up, it will look great.

I dont know but Ive already got plans with the best painter in my area to shoot it all black and do a cool 8-ball graphic on it.

I've been kicking around the same idea. Haven't decided on a graphic yet, but curious to see what you come up with. Looks like the PF should clean up pretty well. Doesn't look like there is too much wear over the upper left pop and the kickout can be covered with a Cliffy.

I'm on my second SSO too

Nice pickup.

I just got a 'kind of' free game this weekend too... Not as good as the one you got, though.

#12 10 years ago

Under rated game IMO ... good fun game, sort of like a modern 8 Ball Deluxe ...

I got mine years ago and it still gets a lot of play.

I have an opportunity to pick up one of these this week (unfortunately they won't accept my accounting skills in trade) so I will have to buy it. Just wondering what a fair price for one in good condition, and is there anything in particular I should look for that typically is a problem are on these. I played it at TPF for quite awhile and really liked it. I have a CBW but they seem different enough that I wouldn't mind owning both. Thanks!

#14 10 years ago

Good deal. I always liked the look of that game. Never got the chance to play it though. Good luck with it!

Honestly I'd say 1300-1500 for good condition. I paid more for my current one, but it is in beautiful condition.

#16 10 years ago

Nice pick-up and located right under my nose! I look forward to playing it once it is restored.

#17 10 years ago

Nice! Must be good karma for all the ass-busting at MGC!

#18 10 years ago

Cool man, nice game!

This was funny, Eric eats at this place once in a while and never noticed it was in there, it was tucked in a back corner. Just to reiterate a little, I actually havent done the work for the son yet, it was just a "go grab it from my dad and we will work it out later" kinda deal.

Thanks as well to Hilton for joining me on the road trip, I didnt know if there would be lots of stairs to deal with or what, he did get a free lunch out of it though!

Lets hope so, maybe a game falls into my lap after every MGC going forward

Yeah, this title rarely comes up for sale, for the record when I first starting talking with the op he wanted $800 for this specific one. Its in OK shape, shooter lane has the most wear.

It will be fairly basic but a huge improvement over what it is now, will see if Trilogy wants to jazz it up more than Im thinking when that day comes.

Quoted from cards25:

LED it up, it will look great.

Definitely going to LED it, now that I have a few games with LED's that were not factory and also factory (AC/DC-Xmen-Avengers), Im getting a little pickier now, I might have to buy a bunch of those OCD boards for TRON-LOTR-Sharkeys-TZ-Spiderman, how much those cost nowadays?

edit----Ah, found it.... http://ledocd.com/cart/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=2

Yeah I enjoyed playing yours as well over the Xmas holiday.

Nice pick up Flank. Any day you end up with a new pin is a good day in my book.

As the man waste's ZERO time !

#24 10 years ago

So I did my typical process, gently novus1 to get the excessive dirt off, then Novus 2 to get the deep clean, then I hand applied and removed 2 coats of wax, but the removal of the 3rd coat of wax I used a 6inch power random orbital buffer. Turned out pretty shiny. I just wanted to get a little build up of product before running the buffer, Its so easy to burn right through the clear, right Jetzxi?

Btw, Sharkey's is awesome. I have one 2 months and love it. Much more fun than advertised. I added some extra mini pool balls from my kid's old toy and the rack itself. Getting the 8 ball shooter from mikeincali. I'm from NY so I love the Italian call outs - "you bustin my balls? That shot took some cajones!"

It might even be....a.........keeper.

Congrats on the pickup Centerflank! I don't think I've ever played a Sharkey's before, but any game with the 8 Ball Deluxe layout that also features the Black Widow can't be half bad. Dr. Wood also bears a striking resemblance to Mrs. Flank

Got the Marcos pf yesterday, pretty decent, typical Stern quality clear on it. I pulled the mylar off and cleaned off the goo right away to be ready to be clear coated by a super pro...

I went to look at one a few days ago and the cabinet was pretty beat up so I passed on it. The playfield was in decent condition except for a large wear spot on the upper spider web. Someone had touched it up with white paint and the guy told me it was a cloud and was supposed to be there. That's when I walked out...

So I'm still looking if anyone has one for sale or knows of one. Thanks.

EDIT----I did pink post sleeves for Scott Danesi since he loves them so much!!!

Finally got this operational, turned it on last night and had a few flashers locked on and corrected that this morning. Still need to tinker with the 7 bank drop target, one was broke and one does that awesome pingpong up&down, should be here today. 1 pop bump needs to be fixed as well. (this isnt the new pf----thats gone for clear coating)

Added a few orange starposts for the slings as this comes with just plain black posts, did black flipper bats with clear rubbers, did clear rubbers for all but I didnt have any small sizes for the posts. Used Comet pinball Opmax2's for the GI.

IN!

Crap, I just noticed that wire from the flasher ran in front of the metal protector above the extra ball scoop.

do they make pink LEDs? Think this game could really use some...

Quoted from Whysnow:

They do, a few I bought from cointaker long ago didnt look too much different from purple ones. That back pf row is all purple in my pics.

#47 9 years ago

cointaker is making Frosty Pinks now, and pink flashers i'm pretty sure

your machine looks good center, and you have that backup pf? niiiiiice

Thanks, yeah I cant wait to see the clear coat on it. Now that I shopped it Ill probably wait a long time before I do the swap. No more pin projects this summer more than likely, time to kick back and play!
