I personally love the look of classic incandescent bulbs in EMs and when I see youtube videos of EM machines with the modern style LEDs in them I'm disgusted. However, I've noticed the so called "retro" LEDs available from companies like NoFlix and CoinTaker. Do these retro LEDs really make a convincing replacement for standard bulbs? I ask this because they would be quite effective in eliminating heat burns on playfield plastics. Has anyone used these in an EM game of theirs and has photos they could share?

I would consider the warm white retros a decent replacement for incandescents. They're much brighter, however. I have a tough time looking directly at either of the white retros. The cool ones are worse, thought. They look amazing is barely hidden.

Order a few from warm white retros from Cointaker to see what you think.

I've seen the Cointaker retros and they indeed do look pretty warm.

I heard the warm whites gave off a green tinged light. Is this true?

They look great in the backglass, underneath and in the popbumpers.

Sometimes they are a little too much for GI.

I see the green tinge when they are in the pop bumpers
