For those of you who werent there last year the setup goes like this.
everyone is broken down into groups of 4. all 4 players play 4 machines in a 4 player game style, ie.
rotating turns until a three balls have been played. top 4 scores for each 4 machines then compete in a 16 player head to head bracket style playoff. If someone qualifies on more than one machine then they will be seeded higher. during bracket play top seeds will play lower seeds, ie number 1 will play number 16, until we have a winner see attached. seeds are based on score and difficulty of the machine. Players 1-8 since they have won their match will continue to play
as they progress through the bracket.
the change this year is there will be a double elimination, so whomever lost their match will play another person who lost a match for places 8-16.
this is mainly to add more gametime for the players and more exicitement for the spectators.
last year the tourney ran about 4-5 hours.
this event is being held at a bar so drinks and food will be available(rec room food is pretty damn good).
the bar is located in downtown charleston.
machines will be set on free play after the tourney.
there will be 1-2 machines on location, that aren't in the tourney, that can also be played (normal pricing) during the tourney as well.
if you have any questions feel free to ask.
