Back in march of 2013 I purchased a Paragon playfield off eBay with the intention of restoring, and swapping it into my Paragon. DISCLAIMER: I've coined the term 'players restoration' to describe my work. I'm not a professional. I don't have a spotless work area and tons of tools. I do what I can in my garage. My goal is to make it look good and play like new.

It took several months, but I finally got it done around August of 2013. I've posted a thread on my website/blog, and figured I'd post a few pics here as well. ...I fear I'll get slammed for my shoddy work....but hey, it was a fun project.

I'll start with a few 'before' pics.

Just starting the touch up paint...black is the easiest.

Towards the end of painting. Pink was a bitch to match...

I'd say you did a great job. Looks like a great playfield to make a players machine! Not enough of these type of resto's are documented on here! I like,

Thanks. For the most part, I was happy with the touch-up paint. It's the leveling of the inserts, and clearcoat/polish where I struggle...

Pics of clear going on. I've since learned I put way too much in the inserts.

Looks nice. What product and method did you use for the clear?

I used a rattle can - Rust-Oleum Varathane Interior Crystal Clear Polyurethane Water-Based Spray, Gloss Finish

Honestly, I wasn't totally happy with the clear. It's not 100% clear,a nd it seems to fade the colors some. To do it right, you need an air compressor, decent airbrush, and use a two part auto clear. If I attempt many more playfields, I'll need to step up my game. And yes, despite all this work, I'll still be 1st on the list when/if CPR announces a Paragon playfield.

Next time you should reglue inserts auto clear and level the playfield before you do the touchups.
