Just figured I'd create a nice (*cough* drama free) thread to post up pics / stories / info etc about Expo. This will also make for great pinball porn to all those pour souls who are chained to their desks and can't make the fun. Me and AceJedi are currently on our couple hour drive to the Bay Area to catch a red eye flight and bring us into expo at 7am tomorrow. It's party time folks. See you all there (and here).

I'm there now and will be to Saturday at least. Free play game area is looking great with some rare games to play. I'd say the hall is over 2/3rds full at this time. Look towards seeing more of you here in the next few days.

Is there a particular day that is best to Attend for just free play? I'm visiting with family for most of the trip but would really like to go play for a day. I was a little confused by the schedule because it says that certain halls are closed sometimes and I was wondering if that affected the freeplay area. This is my first pinball show so I'm really excited to get over there!
Already started off the weekend by forgetting backbox bolts for 3 out of 4 games. 
I think Friday will be the worst day to attend for the games area due to Brawl. I think Thursday night (kickoff) or Saturday would work best.
Just got here but too late for the free play so I just walked around and watched some folks playing Star Trek. The PAPA setup looks like all new Sterns almost (which I mostly suck at) so I think I won't be doing too well in the tourney. Need to get some rest since tomorrow is an early ass start! I'll be wearing my SFPD (San Francisco Pinball Dept) hoodie to represent!
Word is that there will in fact be no LE or Premium Star Trek Machine at the expo this year. (Of course, this may be false statement itself, as Stern is known to keep secrets, etc). What I heard was the one and only look/view of a real life Stern Star Trek LE will be at the actual Stern Factory Tour Thursday Morning. If you dont see it there: you aint gonna see it. Also, that particular unit is not for play, but will be powered on showing off the lights, etc. No-one will be allowed to touch it.
We shall see what is true in about 8.5 hours. I will have my DLSR with me to document whatever it is that we see, even if it is nothing. From there it will be on pinside very quickly.
I'm in Chicago right now for business, but hoping to make it to Expo for a few hours on Saturday. Looking forward to reports before that though!

I would like to thank whoever turned off my Soccer machine. It turns out the blue goalie up solenoid was locked on. Pulled the board out and found a bad MOSFET. Its replaced, but I can't put it back together with out some other parts do the the board having 2 hacks on it that I was not aware of. Hopefully It will be back up in the afternoon some time.
12 games in and set up in three hours plus three booths(Pincades, Backalley, JJP), see ya today

Popped in last nite to see what was going on! Said hi to Borygard, Korn & She-Korn, met Derek (MusketD) and Chris from Cointaker! Played Star Trek, that ICE Flintstones, and a few games in the free play room! Was too tired to keep going...I'll be back in a few hours for seminars! Wooo!

nice guys nice yesterday i was 1 of the guys setting up the camera rigs and cables for PAPA TV all day long along with mark and anastasia steinman , jon , angie.. so everybody can watch live pinball broadcast @ papatv

The fact that the emblem is raised and lit is a great touch. Overall its definitely the best light show ever hands down. Can't wait!!

Yes, and I have pics of it. Its in the apron.
But it was not on in the attract mode. We were not shown what it looks like when working.
