I have also most completed a final version of DH. The final model will be white with a colored door and the sign on the roof. This will replace the unsightly bare metal piece. It will use the existing screws. The roof is Spanish tile from Plasticstruct.

I can also make the building other colors if desired. Still thinking about pricing.

Nice work!

#4 10 years ago

Looking good, I'm definitely interested whenever you get to the sales phase.

#5 10 years ago

Looks great! Count me in.

#6 10 years ago

The white colored Donut Heaven building as I type!

#8 10 years ago

Very nice! Good job!

#9 10 years ago

Here it is installed. I have to move the holes lower but getting very close. The bracket is no longer there and uses the existing screws.

How about the playfield glass?

#11 10 years ago
Quoted from boogies:

How about the playfield glass?

Will it fit with the glass on??

#12 10 years ago

Moving the holes down as I type. It will fit. Fellow pinsider working on adding an LED mod to gently light it.

#13 10 years ago

Looks OK, but it sits on the plastic? Looks way too low on the ramp, hopefully that's what you mean by moving the holes.

#14 10 years ago

We need something for the left side, maybe a car or something...

#15 10 years ago

I'm in, let me know when we can order.

#16 10 years ago

It's gonna fit for sure. Here is what I am thinking on the left side but your feedback is welcome. The left side has that blank piece of plastic. I am making a road with 3d features. It will have a 1/32 cop car model with a flashing light bar. It will also have 3 street lights. The rub here is that the car is not scale to the building.

Maybe I should put a hot wheels scale cop car(s) on that piece and it would match the building better. I will get some mock ups here soon. The hot wheel version would not have a flashing light bar. The street lights will work too.

Of course this all depends when I get it all together.

#17 10 years ago

Here is a quick mock up. The building needs a bit more sizing so the glass fits. I did a quick prototype of a road which I added a hot wheels scale car. Now the road is elevated because of the wire form.

I never intended for this to fit as one scale piece. Would the hot wheels 1/64 scale car look better or the 1/32 car. I will add the other pic here soon.

It looks like a motel 6. JMHO...

#20 10 years ago

Wanted it to match the DMD picture...see first post.

#21 10 years ago

Nice Heavy Chevy!

#22 10 years ago

i really meant the left side of the playfield, a Lamborghini coming towards you that the ball travels through would be cool, with headlights.

#24 10 years ago

Thats awesome! Looks great.

#25 10 years ago

sweet. i just got a HS2 and might have to pick one of these up. when do you think you will be ready for shipment?

#26 10 years ago

Sending the model to a fellow pinsider today for LED installation so by end of week it will be ready.

#27 10 years ago

I think the roof should say Donut Heaven

#28 10 years ago

I am in shoot me a mail when I can buy one

I think the roof should say Donut Heaven

Did this last night. The decal will be more colorful, just black and white now.

#30 10 years ago

While the car & lightbar sound cool, I think the Donut Heaven would be fine by itself as well.

#31 10 years ago

The cop cars and road would be separate from DH. It will replace that large piece of clear plastic.

#32 10 years ago

I'm interested in the Donut Heaven. Please let me know when it's available to buy. Thanks!

#33 10 years ago

Any updates?

#34 10 years ago

Yes the prototype is with a fellow pinsider to have a multiple colored selectable LED installation completed. I am thinking within two weeks we will be mass producing.

#35 10 years ago

Please add me to the list. Cool mod! But the sign needs to be stood up.

#36 10 years ago

I will take pics with several variations so we can determine the best one. Somewhat limited by the height.

#37 10 years ago
Quoted from Tmezel:

Somewhat limited by the height.

True, but you can do it! Looking forward to the variations.

#38 10 years ago

Bump for an update!

#39 10 years ago

Update from my partner

I have 20 harnesses made up, and the soft white LEDs are en route. The tracking shows them to be in Chicago, so it won't be long now. My daughter designed a donut shop silhouette for the inside of the opaque windows. In one of the windows there is a fat cop holding a donut. I'll get pictures this weekend.

can't wait to see!

#41 10 years ago

It's gonna be sweet! What price do you estimate this mod at?

#42 10 years ago
Quoted from Tmezel:

"This time I'm gonna nail that dirtbag!"

#43 10 years ago

The "Donut Heaven" sign should face forward. On top looks awkward.

#44 10 years ago

Agree, on Saturday going to work on a face forwarding sign with LED backlighting.

#45 10 years ago

While you are fiddling with it, can you bring the back in a little bit so it can clear a mirror blade? OK, thanks

#47 10 years ago

Please add me to the list for purchase! This looks awesome!

#48 10 years ago

Update bump?

#49 10 years ago

The board on the printer went out should be getting a new one this week.

#50 10 years ago

Looks great ! Is there a way you can put me on your list for one ?
Shoot me a PM perhaps ?
