A few Kiwi pinheads have a friend traveling to LA at the end of May who can pick up some pinballs for us. He is there to bring several caravans back to New Zealand and he’s offered to pack some pinballs inside them!

It’s a rare opportunity for us to import pinballs that can be hard to come by here. We are looking for offers for any pinballs in good condition that may be for sale in the LA area over the next month.

Of particular interest to one collector is Defender and Centaur. Replies or PMs welcome

EDIT: An updated list of what we're after:

Congo
Shadow
Defender
Centaur
Wizard
Captain Fantastic
Eathshaker
Fathom
Diner
Barracora
Sorcerer
Eight Ball Deluxe
Taxi
Mousin’ Around

Nooooo! Don't let them steal our precious pins!

A list of other titles might help, I for one have no idea what's hard to come by there.

I think he's talking about Louisiana.

A heads-up about anything that might be available. If that is too broad then we can put together a list of what we're looking for.

You have a really limited window and a long distance to negotiate over, so IMHO the more specific you can be the more you'll help your cause.

I think you'll be closer to Aurich's pins then.

We'll load you up with all the Striker Xtremes you can handle.

I will add a couple items of interest: Congo and the Shadow

The LA /OC area is probably best for our driver.

What kind of caravans?

Head's up, humour follows:

Shadow - Wayne.
Defender - Try Pinchroma
Centaur - To be found in Illinois.
Wizard - Mike @ Homepin
Captain Fantastic - To be found in NJ.
Earthshaker - MMR remake.
Fathom - that's where the NY mayor dumped the illegal pinballs in the 70s.
Diner - and where he went afterwards.
Sorcerer - Any maker of virtual pins.

Bump. I know you have a lot of pins just wasting space over there that you want to send our way. Promise we will give them good homes!

Note that LA = Louisiana, L.A. = Los Angeles.

Finally joined this forum. Looks like fun ...and I wonder if there are any Defender pinnies over your way?

Lol. Give those crazy Kiwis a strong currency for a few months and they go nuts!

NZ needs more pins!

Yes agreed and I would also love it if there were some barcades going! Wish I had more space for more pins but the difficulty finding good pins makes it easier to take.

#26 10 years ago

A barcade/cafe would be very awesome. Wellington is a great place for it I reckon.

#27 10 years ago

Just don't confuse them with Australians.

^^^^^ Yip.... that's us ^^^^^

Dave is going to have his JP out in his shop soon and wants to add more so it could be the beginning of something interesting. Depending on how that goes I may put one of mine there too and we all know how these things multiply... Not a barcade but it would be cool to have a place in town with a decent collection of pins open to the public
