Unreal that someone would go to THAT much trouble to screw up a board. looks like you can rip out pretty simply.
faz
Pinphila - I give that a 9.3, as only one of the three featured acts were performed. However, there is some nice corrosion on the two that weren't done. Can't wait to see the rubber fix.
Stangbat - That rates a 9.5, even though all features were performed, it lacks uniformity with the one odd-ball battery and wire.
That is some awesome *hacknology* !!

LOL! The judges have docked you .5 due to "lack of uniformity".

Yeah, even in the world of hacks, if you are going to do it you have to do it right.
Quoted from WOLF:Yep, do it slow, do it fast, just don't do it half fast.
Oh I get it now.......took me a minute.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Playing a game at auction, found this one... "why's the ball stuck??"
Wow. Never say you've seen it all.
Quoted from stangbat:Does this score a perfect 10?
stangbat,
Thanks for posting this for us. The corrosion is pretty bad on that one.
A significant portion of the board is not even the nice normal green color anymore.
Quoted from Fulltilt:found this one...
Wow Fulltilt! Never seen a staple-job to fix a rubber ring before.
I think I've seen a pic posted of a rubber ring hack-job/repaired by superglue or epoxy or something. But staples?
Like the 5280wzrd said - hi heat silicone. Guess they wanted to make sure that trough was water tight.
Pinphila - I didn't know 'Staples' had a pinball department. That works out good, they're right next to rat shack.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Anyone have a guess as to what this red crap is?? It was pretty gross and sticky....

Probably because the plastic around the metal bracket was broken. This happens because the ball guide doesn't bring the ball down low enough to go under the switch bracket on a hard shot. Everyone who has WH2O should make that fix. Cut the right-most black plastic guide post in half or replace with something half the height.
Quoted from Fulltilt:How about one fixed by a wood screw? If you don't have the right ring size, heck, just put in a screw!
Poor Whirlwind!
Quoted from WOLF:Now that could be a 10! It's got it all soldered batteries, uniformity, and a wire tie.
That is at least a 9.8.
Quoted from Fulltilt:Rats nest resolved!

Nice rectifier board!
But - need to peel off the protective film on that fuse cover...
Not a pin, but this is a before and after on a Galaga (bootleg) that I have.
Hey, that's what Ed said last time I posted that pic. (Keep rubbing it in Ed....)
