Hey there fellow Pinsiders—

I am putting my TRON LE up for sale or for trade. I enjoyed having it, had a blast modding it, and am a huge TRON and Daft Punk fan, but sadly, it is time to move on. The game just didn’t quite scratch the itch like a JPop game does.

Let me know if you are interested in buying it; I’d also be interested in trading for a TOTAN + cash.

- The glass has a hairline scratch, barely visible unless you’re looking very carefully. It’s hard to photograph, but it is in the last picture.

Is that true? This is my first FS/FT listing, so if that is the case then my apologies. Is there a listing of forum rules or something like that? I scanned the community rules, and didn't see anything to that effect. I certainly don't mean to offend nor am I trying to pull a fast one. My reasoning was just that I get tired of FS/WTB ads having trolls who own the same pin insisting that the price is too low, and future hopefuls saying it is way too high. Tron LE in particular seems to be a hotbed for this, I'm trying to avoid the tumult.

I am not making this up, retro_p. No need to apologize to me, i am not offended. If you look at the two guys currently thumbing you down and thumbing you up, it's because they know the rules. I can look for the "rule" a bit (i obviously have nothing better to do as i currently live on pinside (again)). I can assure you i am not pulling your leg. This subject matter comes up time and time again and i've been here way too long!

It comes up all the time, and you are correct, there is nothing in the rules that prevents you from NOT listing a price.

In fact, if you go to the Market to place an ad (not a thread) you do not have to list a price either. You can choose to place a checkmark by the option that says "I want people to make an offer".

There is no written rule saying you must post a price.

If there is, it was added very recently, and I'd love to see a link to it. That rule would be inconsistent with the fact that you do not have to list a price in an ad placed in the Marketplace.

I have seen mods ask posters to post a price so it's not an auction, but they have never directed us to any written rules saying you must post a price.

Is it illegal to not post a close up picture of your shooter lane now as well? What is the required distance of the camera from the shooter lane, 3 inches away, 5 inches, 10 inches is an immediate ban from the site?

People are getting a little too uptight about things nowadays, I agree price should be posted if someone is trying to sell but come on already. If Stern dealers aren't allowed to post a price and aren't required to and need private communication then a private seller should have the same right. But again, everyone needs to lighten up and get the fun back in this site, it's getting annoying how every thread ends up a bi!*h session about some off topic (Oh crap I just did it as well)

I am pretty sure I have seen a moderator chime in on past FS threads without prices before and say a price must be listed.
Besides that seems like a reasonable price.

You were mostly correct though....Robin wants prices posted in the forums (to the best of my knowledge) as it keeps civility and threads on track. At least one gets bumps and not like this specific thread got out of hand but it has in the past.

edit---I even removed my thumbs down from the ops post to show how happy I am.

Even though I have one, I can't help but click on FS: Tron LE threads because it's just such a damn beautiful game to look at (not to mention most of the time we also end up with hot pics of Quorra too, lol)

Wasn't meant at ill will towards you at all, just my general comment for the day. I agree with 100% of what was said. I was more waiting for the shooter lane remark from someone more than anything.

The general consensus is if you post a FS thread, post a price. If you put it in the market only, then you can put in "Make an offer".
