I picked up a nice Black Hole over the holidays and was somewhat disappointed to learn that the scoring adjustments are directly tied to the balls per game adjustments (ala GTB EMs and System 1). For instance, in 3-ball pop bumpers are worth 1000 points and lit drop targets are worth 5000 points, while in 5-ball they're worth 100 and 3000 points respectively.

Ideally, I'd like to setup my game for 5-ball scoring with 3-ball play which is impossible to do with the original code. Does anybody know if the Ni-wumpf MPU allows for these to be adjusted independently?

I sent an email to Ni-wumpf's support email. Will post back with their response.

Heard back from Ni-wupmf and learned that users have complete control of the source code and can tweak the code of the game however they want.

So, yes, the values of the pops and drops can be adjusted independent of balls per game, plus you can do a whole lot more.
