Sittin in an arcade without nobody
The sun is beating down on my faded cabin-at
The coils gettin' hot, score reels are going flat
Lookin' for a girl I ran into a guy
His name is Gary Stern, I said, "Howdy" he said, "Hi"
He told a pinball story that sounded well rehearsed
Decline of pinball games, how arcade operators are the worst
Tokens were in my hand and he was on my tip
His skin was tan, his hair was gray he was a f-ing trip
He said, "Can I get some?"
I said, "You can't get none!"
Had a chance to run
He pulled out his soldering gun
He was quick on the draw I thought Pinball was dead
He put the tool to my head and this is what he said,
"Now my name is Gary Stern I've got pinball licenses to kill!
It's damn time everybody knows that pinball gives a thrill!
Now what do we have here, a gamer and his gear?
I run this land, you understand I make myself clear!"
We stepped into the wind he had his balls, I had a grin
You think Pinball is over but it's ready to begin
When/if I get more creative corniness, I'll continue the story of Pin-Ball Revere!

I'm 39 and I remember when Pauls Boutique came out. Sam Goody at the mall had a box of cassettes that were not to be released until Tuesday and I talked the clerk into letting me have one a day early. Listened to that tape 1 million times.

Sorry guys in personal choice but I think all mucis pins are wak. Bring back the game not some oversized cd player with a ball in it. Sorry I know il upset a lot of people saying that. But hell cds are gone now all we get instead are music pins. Know wonder pinball is falling apart.

Not upsetting to me. But I wonder why you think that theme selection (be it a band, a movie or TV show, or whatever else) would have any effect on the gameplay. A good designer should be able to make a game fun to play even with a terrible theme. For instance, there seems to be consensus that AC/DC is a really good game, even among people that really don't like the band. Not saying I'd buy a game with a theme I hate (I wouldn't want to have to look at it every day) but if the gameplay's fun I'll throw in some quarters at the bar for sure.

They had it up for about an hour and then took it down. Would love this theme but it ain't happening.
They just need to retheme the Wheel of Fortune and replace the contestants with the Beasties. Put all their greatest hits on it and I am in.
The problem I would have with this pin is there is so much classic and just downright bad ass content from the beasties that no matter how deep the rules you couldn't even come close to including everything. I'd feel jipped if they didn't have a "girls" clean the toilet shot or a no sleep til Brooklyn head banging toy where the head falls off. And those are just from Licensed to I'll". Or what about the brass monkey red solo cup shot?
Yeah, I'd be very interested in a Beastie Boys pin but don't think it would ever happen.
Side note: I just found my Ill Communication cd in the basement and have been playing it for the past week. It brings memories of the summer before I was a freshman in high school. I then snap out of it and realize I'm driving a mini van with screaming kids in the back.
As much as I would love for this to be real it won't happen. The surviving members are beyond anal about licensing anything with their likeness or music.

I remember hearing that album for a long time where I was working, and never realising it was The Beastie Boys. Great album - talented guys.
Agree the Dead Flip thing is a bit wierd - I doubt Jack Danger would be game to use Stern's logo to troll his facebook feed without Stern's permission. But also seems an unlikely mistake to make if it was legit. Stern and Danger trolling together?
