My Ball in Play and Number to Match display just quit. Are these vacuum florescent displays? Do they just quit like that or is it likely an IC on that board. By the way I have NiWumpf logic board as well as a Rottendog driver board, so I doubt they are the problem.
Thanks in advance!

Seldom do they die.
Game off. Reseat the connector on the display and the two display connectors on the right, and upper right on the Ni.
Power on...any change?

Don't reseat connectors with power on. You can blow chips by doing so.

OK, I did as you suggested but still NO GO.
There isn't much on the board itself; three ICs two caps and two resistors. Is there a way to test the display some by some other means?

You can test the 6118s and the other IC.
The PinWiki has the method.

Hey maddog, thanks for the pinwiki link! Wow, what a ton of info! Very impressive.
I found the problem to my dead display; an intermittent connection on the power supply connector. Too easy!
