First! I've always wanted to do that. Carry on.

Looks like the stole The Cube, from The Pin.
Surprised I'm saying this, but I'm not really that excited after the first glance. Could be that I just can't figure out what all is in the pin, shots, etc.
So there's a ramp/diverter that goes from right to left that's only on the LEs? Essentially another example of the Pro machine being playability-wise different than the limited editions?
Quoted from DrStarkweather:Thor LE looks like a stinker. Sure that isnt the Premium model?
Definitely could be...I'm speculating. Would actually prefer if they did a Premium version of this as well.
That HULK is so badd arss . I cant believe it. The colors with the DMD far exceeded my expectations.
Quoted from Shapeshifter:Hulk going to be the one to have!
LE has extra metal ramp...
Lock lights are in different places. LE has them in the lower right hand corner and Pro is in the upper left hand corner. Weird.

Im betting 90% thats a premium model. It keeps focus away from a specific character but still has colored armor and such.

Im with you on that too, the translight has all the characters on it.
Stern is calling it "Avengers LE" on Facebook. On second thought it is definitely an LE and not a Premium model. Based on preorder emails from distros they are making 250 of each version.
Quoted from stangbat:When are we going to see a color display in a Stern? Next game?
Green is a color : )

LE has extra metal ramp...
Yes it is!
I don't like how the translite on the blue one features Fabio. I think that I like the pro's art the best, much like with x-men
George is really loving those ramps made of flat plastics. Both PFs look great and a bit out of character for Gomez (a good thing). Looks like something may raise up in front of Hulk.

I like to say I told people Hulk is the one to get! Have mine already ordered.
Hmm, looks good. I want a detailed feature comparison between the pro and LE!!!
Quoted from Toasterdog:No love for Iron Man WTF. Hardly even see him
I thought the same!

good catch -- it does look like it
Whoops, nevermind. Looks like there will be a Premium, but not being announced until 2013.
MELROSE PARK, IL – November 29, 2012 – Stern Pinball Inc., the world’s leading maker of real pinball games, announced today the release of The Avengers pinball machine. The newest member of the Stern collection memorializes The Avengers, a franchise that has remained a staple in pop culture since it first appeared as a comic book series in 1963. The Avengers will join Stern’s revolutionary line-up of comic inspired machines including X-Men, Spiderman, Iron Man and Batman.
For almost 50 years The Avengers have delighted fans through comic books, television series and movies. Stern is thrilled to bring the franchise to pinball and provide fans with a new medium through which to enjoy The Avengers. The machine features a dynamic setting that incorporates six iconic Avenger heroes: Iron Man, Thor, Hulk, Captain America, Black Widow and Hawkeye. Players help The Avengers assemble to defeat the notorious villain Loki. The Avengers pinball features an animated twisting and pounding custom molded HULK, drop targets and a spinning cube bonus, in addition to plenty of multiball action.
“Throughout the years The Avengers have cultivated a loyal and energetic fan base,” said Gary Stern, founder, CEO and Chairman of Stern Pinball. “Stern is pleased to have the opportunity to give these fans an Avengers pinball game to enjoy for years to come.”
The Avengers game continues both the Stern Pinball and the Stern family tradition of producing quality pinball machines for young and old. The company traces its lineage to Philadelphia in the 1930s when Sam Stern entered the business of operating pinball games. Stern passed his lifelong enthusiasm for the game and the business of pinball to his son Gary Stern who founded Stern Pinball. Today pinball remains one of America’s favorite pastimes.
