Stern, 2012So due to so many pinsiders wanting some nice crisp HD footage of actual gameplay, I decided to throw this together really quick.
You'll notice about 1/2 through the video reach in to grab a piece of plastic that snapped off the hulk ramp when my go pro camera fell from the backglass. Any case, hope you like the longer 10 ball play. I'm still a pretty novice player so I thought the 10 ball would be better than a short 3 ball game so we could see more of the modes etc.

From what I can gather...to start the vs. mode...you have to complete a character mode and then start the mode again for that character....which will turn into a vs mode.

Yeah! I think you're right. I did start a hulk vs. Thor vs mode once. Not in this video.
I started quite a few VS modes last night in one game. I think that's how they all started. Didn't finish one though. They were pretty tough. But, they were fun 2 ball multi-ball modes. Have no clue how to start Hellicarrier or Battle for earth...

I'll say it -- I'm not totally sold on the game. I think the fact that they don't use the actors actual appearance & voices makes it seem cheesy / cheap.

I'm sorry but when your playing the voices are the LAST thing on the planet I am thinking about. Does that REALLY matter? Hulk is actually fine and funny.

I'm guessing some light sequence or flasher would start up to guide you to a shot that starts the mode...probably the Hulk Saucer or the Hawkeye (to ball lock) shot...those seem to the the most logical "mode start" shots. Although it's possible those modes haven't been programmed yet.

It matters. It's a "polish" thing and real voices or real-ish voices are more true the license. You're right though, when you're playing - it's low priority...it doesn't diminish from the fun. However, it's still baffling why the custom voices aren't even sound-alikes. It IS possible to find people who somewhat sound like Downey Jr. or Sam Jackson. Say what you will about the sound-alikes for Shrek, Donkey, or Jack Sparrow...whether they're 100% or not, they are absolutely TRYING to sound like those characters. The guy doing Ironman's voice isn't remotely trying to sound like the Tony Stark we know from the movies. Anyway, the game is super fun, but the voice thing truly keeps it from being an "impulse purchase" for me.

Just color matched the 6 backboard flashers with CT's LED flashers. Makes the color sharper. I love the light show on this game. IT's up their with AC/DC just more colorful.
