I gave my Sparky to a local artist and gave him free hand to do what he thinks looks best

Awesome. The eye for detail, even the fingernails under the hand which can never be seen are done. Look at the helmet. The completely wrong hawai shirt, Hair on his brest. Worn Allstar looks shoes, etc.. AWESOME !!!!!

Very satisfied. Geert, THANKS.

Geert did an superb job!

#3 10 years ago

Very Nice, not really feeling the Hawaiian shirt but looks good.

#4 10 years ago

That's great! Nice unique take on it...the helmet detail is fantastic...if I had one note it's that I wish the custom painters would make Sparky's pupils the "U" shape like Donny's original sketch.

It's funny, because even when Donny paints them he doesn't do that.

The Hawaiian shirt is an awesome detail, keeps it looking unlike anyone else's.

I know lol ....I guess it's just me then, I like non-realistic pupil shapes...they're cool.

It reminds me of Fear & Loathing!

Sweeeeet!

#9 10 years ago

the 'buttons' on the helmet are really very small painted buttons glued to the helmet so if you move your fingers across them you can feel that they are '3D'

The wire is curled electricity wire.

Hawaiin shirt took me some time to get used to the idea but Geert had free hand. It is so wrong (and dirty to) which is exactly what Sparky is and makes it indeed look like no other Sparky around which is I think what most artists desire

#10 10 years ago

Guess its a tribute to Thomas Magnum.. Looks great.

#11 10 years ago

One of a kind , an excellent addition to your machine.. The two wires to the helmet is baddass too..

#12 10 years ago

That is really cool. Will have to send out my original that was replaced by the DD custom. Was wondering what to do with him.

#13 10 years ago

Very cool. Its like Sparky goes to Hawaii. It might be cool to add pinball refinery's lighted Sparky mod on each side. I like not just one shock line, but two shock lines

Bump for a great artist and another picture ofcourse

#15 10 years ago

That looks amazing. Props to the artist. Tons of personality.

#16 10 years ago

The idea to make an Hawai shirt came up because he did this for you Rens.
When he'll do mine it most likely be a cool shirt he puts on Sparky
Anyways, Geert is the man here in the lowlands.

#17 10 years ago

I want one ... and don't even own the pin.

#18 10 years ago

Made a videoclip on it

#19 10 years ago

Very cool, where did you hookup your snake mod LEDs too?

Me too! This looks really great...actually maybe I'd want the pin to go with the doll.

#21 10 years ago

That looks great - i like it

Hooked it up to the flasher led on top of the snake

#23 10 years ago

Very nice indeed

#24 10 years ago

Is it still possible to obtain an extra sparky at this point?

I would suggest you ask Pinballlife - they had them on their page for a bit. Also he custom ordered a x-men figure for me.

I like this Sparky a ton, just a fun version. I dig it

It's indeed very funny which makes it great and different. Geert is now working on sparky of a friend of me. Not 100% finished but see below pictures. Talking about original approach, awesome. Will post more pictures when totally finished and installed in game ofcourse

Is it not awesome?

#33 10 years ago

He's good!!

#34 10 years ago

Very impressive to say the least, not 100% on the Hawaiian shirt but the amount of effort put into simply making the hawaiian shirt is awesome. Such a great overhaul on an already cool toy

Hello Kitty shirt for you perhaps ?

Looks great! What kind of paint is used for this? Clear-coated after?

I Dont know the name of the paint but do know a clearcoat was used afterwards, a shiny version on eyes and tongue, rest was a not shiny finish. In the green also neon green was used .

Picked Up the sparky for my friend last night, picture of end result. As soon as sparky is installed more pictures will follow of the sparky in the Playfield image-153.jpgimage-153.jpgimage-71.jpgimage-71.jpg

#43 10 years ago

Koop's on fire ! ! keep em coming

#44 10 years ago

I like the orange jump suit and the "tits n ass". On hands of white one.

#45 10 years ago

Looks good but I could do better than this one , Dirk...

#47 10 years ago

Here's the latest, the Hannibal Lector uniform transformed into the chain gang suit, as requested by my friend Dirk, aka Pinchhitter.

I have had a few Pinsiders send me theirs, so far 1 has arrived so another jailbird coming soon, seeing it finished next to an original , the difference is ... well..

Enjoy, Geert

What is an approximate cost for your work and how do we proceed if I go forward?
I have a Dirty Donny painted Sparky, but you're work is pretty amazing. If it was priced right, I'd send you my original Sparky.

Thanks

Harry
