Spoke to Gary Stern this morning for the 3rd time this week. Hes going to have a not so exciting announcement this morning, but with the announcement will have pics of the Long Awaited AC/DC LE and Prem Pinballs!

Keep an Eye Here and I will post when it comes out.

The Announcement
"Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

The response to all models of our AC/DC pinball machine has been
overwhelming. This is a great game with a great title, great music and
great art, executed by 2 great designers - Steve Ritchie and Lyman
Sheats. I have attached some pictures of the AC/DC Limited Edition and
Premium models, which I know you will agree are absolutely stunning.
The first photo shows all three of these versions, with Let There Be
Rock LE on the left, Premium in the center and Back in Black LE on the
right. The playfield photos represent all 3 of these versions, as the
playfield is the same in each.

We have just completed production of our first batch of AC/DC Pro
games. We started production of AC/DC Limited Edition and Premium
models this week. As is normal practice, we are starting with Export
models of the LE and Premium models. We will make more AC/DC Pro over
the next months, breaking into the LE and Premium production
periodically. We are working with our suppliers to increase our
production rate. At the current production rate, it will be late April
before we fill all of our current orders. All of our LE models are
sold. We will make some Premium and Pro's available for new orders
during this production run.

We are sold out of Big Buck Hunter, Avatar, The Rolling Stones, Tron
Pro, and Transformers Pro. We are accepting orders for these models in
order to schedule future production. We are nearly sold out of
Transformers LE Combo, which will end the LE run for this title.

I did hear a rumor and it is most likely just a rumor as the guy I heard it from has lost a little credibility lately .

Ha-ha-ha. "Newest software" is not equal to "finished software"! And I'm not spreading news, just have been expressing my disdain for Stern's practice of shipping games long before the software is finished. Do you really think that practice is acceptable, or a good thing for pinball? I don't.

Besides, not really news, but I have some inside scoop on pretty solid rumors that will *really* piss some people here off! LOL (and totally serious about this.)

And don't lump me in with other Stooges. I'm here solo to StevenP-roll people, dammit!

Lol thats where most of them come from.. They sent distro's emails sometimes a couple hours before posting.. But only sometimes. This time I was told I might get an email with a few in it, but to keep an eye on the facebook page because they would be doing the shoots today and posting today-Monday.

Welcome to the age of hurry up and wait. Almost every maker of hardware with a software back end does this because the technology allows them to. The maker has to meet a deadline and they distribute the hardware knowing that it buys them time to finish the software. This happens to iPhones, Driods, PS3, XBOX, PC Games, etc. Back in the day software had to be almost flawless because the means of updating was harder and sometimes non-existent.

i'm so confused. where's the big news that's gonna piss off LTBR buyers, and stir up the pinball industry???

all i see is some pix of the same speaker panel that's been used on the last 45 stern titles.

Never said it was big news, and I dont know of any news thats going to piss off the LTBR buyers, nor is it going to stir up the industry. Its a not so exciting announcement and LONG awaited pics of the AC/DC LE and Prem.

Look closer at the pic I posted.. Its of a AC/DC BIBLE #1 with part of the back glass showing... Which looks great for the parts I can see.

AC/DC Prem- will be my 1st NIB and Most likely the last.. Alot of Stern's I Don't Care for but AC/DC , Man the Group is a Legend ,, Stern Better have this 1 Done Right !!! It Deserves to Be.. The Best Software added from Factory etc ..

And an Avenger's ( Super Hero's Pin ) Who Know's what that would be like . But some PinHead's might like it..

Resident Evil ,, Killer movie's , Awesome PS2 game , That Pin better have a 22'' LED B/Glass ( like WOZ ) for All the Animation & Effect's that the P/F will Lack.. Alot of Stop & Go i bet too , JMO ... Might be a Good Pin...

Wow guys! The announcement it nothing earth shattering, mostly will effect only AC/DC Buyers and only in a very mild way.

The Exciting part will the the long awaited pictures of the LE models! I am now hearing though it might be tomorrow or even Monday because they want to release all of the pics at once and they arnt even done shooting yet today. I am begging them to leak a couple though.

If you know someone who pre-ordered one from me, ask them as They all got an email from me today. But I can't publicly spill the beans, as Stern wants to tell you them selves.

Sorry not even close.. Stern pinball is made in the USA and I hope it stays that way for a long long time!

They are one of the VERY few in the coin operated industry to be made in their factory by their employees!

The LtbR LE will be limited to 300 and not to 200 machines?

The machines are assembled in their factory, but Churchill makes the cabinets... For now.

I heard it that Stern bought the Williams rights so now JJ has to buy his parts from Stern and they aren't going to sell to him.
