SCOOTER'S PINBALL STORY

I got interested in pinball when I was 14 years old playing at a department store while my mother shopped, the game I played was Traildrive from the early 70's.It was not my first time playing but that is when I became interested! Then in !976 While I was still in school, worked for my Dad at nights and Weekends doing various constrution projects(for no pay to me).Dad would give me  five dollars and me and 2 buddies would go out on Friday & Saturday nights to eat at Mcdonalds and go to the bowling alley to play Pinball for 2-3 hours. We did this for 3-4 years until we started our own familys. Some of our favorite games were Aztec,Freedom,Liberty bell and later on Cleopatra and 8- ball deluxe. We got quite good as we could play most of the night on a few quarters!

I played once in a great while from then until this year when the Pinball bug bit me again.Home builder by profession kept me busy, then I came across a fellow that had an old Airport Pinball machine in his garage with junk stacked on top of it,tried to buy it but He wanted to keep it.Then I searched the intrenet untill I recently found an old Freedom machine that had been fixed up and I bought it for $400.00,and that is my Pinball story!!

Trail drive I think I saw one for sale last year,
I often think about what became of the games we played years ago.
    -good luck with the collection

A department store?! Wow, thats one I haven't heard for 'where to play pinball!"
Hard to find machines to play out on location now adays! I doubt you would ever find one at a department store!

jbscar You could see a pin almost anywhere in the 60's and 70's.At diners, barber shops, department stores, bowling alleys and arcades, the good old days!
