How the addiction started

When I was a kid, my uncle had a few arcade games in his house and I thought that was the coolest thing ever. Ever since then it was always a dream of mine to have my own game room. My wife and I bought the house we are in now in 2000 and had to wait a few years for it to be completed. With the anticipation of moving into a much bigger place than we were currently in, we bought our first game room item, which was an ugly old pool table from the 70's that a friend of ours was selling. I had to keep it in storage until 2002 when we finally got to move in.
The game room originally started in half the garage, as all we had was the ugly pool table. We slowly started adding stuff and before we knew it, the three car garage was now a 1 car garage. My wife and I decided that we would just dedicate the whole space to the room (I have an awesome wife) seeing as we didn’t really park in there anyways. So as more and more things started to get added, my wife said she didn’t care what I put in there as long as I found a pinball machine for her. Like I said, I have an awesome wife. I went out and bout two games as a bundle deal, a Gorgar and a Sinbad. And that’s when I was hooked. I slowly learned how to fix them up, and before I knew it I was selling those to get higher end games.
Skip forward to now, and we are up to 8 pins plus all the other cool stuff. So my wife is the one who got me into the hobby, and I am sure she regrets it every day ;-)
