A great pinball experience awaits you... in the twilight zone

So what is it that makes this successor to the also very popular Addams Family rated the most popular pinball machine of all amongst us Pinsiders? Is it the mysterious theme and the great adaptation of it in a pinball machine? Is it the inspiring sound track by the Dutch band 'Golden Earring'? Or should we hold the numerous inventive toys that were invented by its creators accountable?

For me, I must be the fact that this machine never ceases to fascinate me. The pinball spitting gum ball machine, the moving clock, the thrill of excitement you feel every time you defeat the battle field and are rewarded by this whacking sound: BANG BANG BANG! No matter how many games you've played, you always want to come back for more. That must be the true secret of this great pinball machine. The fact that it manages to keep you interested. The game is very challenging and perfectly balanced, both in score as in difficulty. It's not too difficult to reach the exciting wizard mode, but it's no walk in the park either. And it's very rewarding to finally reach: 'Lost in the zone' where a nice animation and a challenging 6-ball multiball await you.

In spite of my enthusiasm, I know of some pinball enthusiastics that don't agree with me and don't really like this machine (too slow, frustrating outlanes, animations you can't skip). So I guess you either love it or you don't. Fortunately, most people are on the love-it side of it like me and I think you can't call yourself a true pinhead without having played this machine at least once.
