According to the Book the "Pinball compendium - 82 to present" by Micheal Shalhoub, this game was originally planned to be called "David Copperfields Magic" , but after Mr Copperfield pulled out of the deal they needed to find another name for it, and quickly! A number of names were shortlisted, including "The Magic Theatre", which as you'll know, finally ended up as "The Theatre of Magic"
