Played at the Dutch Pinball Museum.

South Park has some great toys, including a toilet and a Kenny bash toy who falls over when you ‘kill’ him. The shot geometry and rules are pretty standard, however, consisting of an unadventurous fan layout with about four shots (plus two main targets in the centre) and a ‘collect character three times’ set collection ruleset.

The animations were entertaining. I couldn’t hear the sound effects.

It was enjoyable, but I had no desire to return. Likely a good choice if you’re a huge South Park fan.

This is a classic and I absolutely love it! I played as a teenager and always loved the theme and funny bits, especially the “adult” call outs. I would love to add this to my collection in the future. It has an easy play that everyone even loves watching others. It just puts a smile on your face.

I love the show, and this game! If you don't like the theme, it's still a good playing table with plenty to shoot at, but the theme integration is so solid that it would be hard to push past it. The Hankey toilet is a fun toy, and the animated Kenny is awesome. Animations align well, as does the speech. It's very well done, and for as old as the table is, sound and visuals are pretty deep. Sure, they can get a little repetitive over time, but again, it came out in the 90's!

The objectives are mostly quantity hits where you just persistently hit the same shots to achieve the goals of the game. A couple of the shots are pretty easy, but a couple definitely challenge you.

I've had SP in my lineup for years, combined with many higher end, newer machines. It's a party favorite for sure, but I also find myself going back to it simply because it is fun. Trying to start all the modes and reach Volcano is challenging, and very enjoyable.

Even with only having four machines and an interest in many of the newer games drawing my interest, it's probably bolted to the floor in my collection.

One of the most unique soundscapes I’ve experienced. Some of the effects are terrifyingly loud, which was fun and surprising in the arcade as a first-time player but would probably grow annoying over time. I liked how analog/homemade/bootleg this game design felt, but South Park humor/quotes and aesthetic get on my nerves very quickly. (I lean more toward Beavis and Butt-Head humor, if that makes sense.) So I’m torn between mild dislike of the theme combined with an appreciation of the build quality and approach to aesthetics.

This is an old machine for sure coming out in 1999 but I grew up with South Park and remember this being one of my first pinball games I played at a gameworks lol when I was old enough to appreciate pinball. That being said I think you have to really be a fan of the show to have this for your home if you don’t have one around you locally. The thing is the characters are fun, the music and naughty language is fun but if you are going to try to compare this to a modern game. You will definitely be disappointed. I know many like the Simpsons party and that one is pretty old too but this game doesn’t have as many rail paths and uses the old school holes. If you are buying used it will feel really used so much so you won’t want to play as often unless you love the show or are entertaining guests. Also, these don’t really retain their value as good as Simpsons so do your research before buying one that has been used publicly with lots of plays. Also, this is a pretty dark playfield.

Fan of the theme so always would get a few games in on location and always had a good time. Have since purchased o e for home and it brimgs the game to a new level. On location, most of the South Parks I played were really beat up and didn't play perfectly, made the game feel cheap but it was still fun and enjoyable. Owning a nice one with a color DMD, LED lighting, added toys and clean and in great shape playfield & plastics, and new vinyl artwork gave me a new appreciation for the game. It's a simpler rule set that the whole family can enjoy, but has some difficult shots that keeps you coming back to get better. Theme and art are integrated perfectly into the game for the time that it was released. Would love for a new table to be made, now that they have 20+ more years of material to pull from. Randy saying "I didn't hear no bell" seems like something that has to be on a pinball for a ball save.

It's ok, I wouldn't want to purchase it, unless it was a bargain but if at a location I will play it for kicks!

The shots are so so, kinda sloppy. The modes are pretty basic. The audio quality is so so. I only like to play it cause it's south park and makes my inner child laugh inside

I do enjoy shooting the toilet, only cause it's a toliet. Lol

Overall a medicore game but I have played much worse.

Feels like the left side of the playfield is wasted. Cartman shot felt really clunky and unfair. Sound effects were annoying and repetitive. Had higher hopes for this game, but couldn't get immersed in the experience. Maybe fun for a few plays but it wasn't one that made my list of must haves. Probably great for casual players as the theme draws people to play it.

This was my first pin. My wife and I had a great time with this; we had played one during a vacation and thought it was fun. I found one shortly after that was inexpensive and needed work, but I got it up to good playing condition in short order, and learned a great deal in the process. That being said, it's a fun pin initially, and it does have something of a flow to it. The Kenny shot and the toilet are fun toys. However, once you can accomplish all of the goals a few times, it will get to be a bit boring after a while. Seasoned players are not fond of it, and I can understand why, as it will not be too much of a challenge to them, but if you are just starting out, and like South Park, then it wouldn't be a bad pin to buy, and you should be able to find one that't not too expensive.

Fun for a while, especially for SP fans, but got boring pretty quickly.

South Park is very underrated. Hear me out…all of the kids, all their friends, and all of the non-pinball peeps that come over love it. My kids (9 & 13) play pinball with me as long as they are playing South Park.
Now, here is my confession. Every time I play this game…I am smiling and yes dancing. I am as ashamed of myself as you are embarrassed for me. I feel shame. I originally picked it up to occupy a free space while I wait for Stern built my Deadpool. Now it looks like it will stay a lot longer than intended. Due to used pin prices and the fact that the family loves it. No wonder it does so well on route. It is fun to play and very underrated. Probably not the most underrated, but it really surprised me. South Park really is greater than the sum of its parts. Even now my rating is probably too low.

This is a fun filled game. The rule set is very easy. But not every pinball has to have a deep ruleset. Lots of toys and fun to be had.

South park is a good theme, but the game is kind of boring to play. The modes are all quite boring both to get to and play. You start a mode by shooting the corresponding shot over and over, then once you start it, you usually just have to keep shooting the same shot you used to start it even more. There aren't too many modes in the game to get to the wizard mode. The sounds are good and match the show but could get annoying for some. The toilet toy is kinda cool to see the ball go into but nothing too spectacular. This game feels cheesy and somewhat boring to me, despite being a fan of the theme.

You gotta like the theme!
Or should that be a question…
When it comes to buying machines, two things really need to be taken into consideration:
1. How good (or bad) does it play? Is it fun enough where you won’t get bored of it or is it repetitive and lackluster.
2. Does the theme appeal to you? Are you a fan of the licensed product or the art style (if it’s not a IP based machine)? Do you only drink coffee but bought a Pepsi-Man Pinball even though Pepsi tastes like malted battery acid to you?
I wish they had made a Pepsi-Man pinball!!!

There are many people who buy machines because it’s “popular” or “valuable” and have no interest in the theme of it. Take for example that the 1990’s Addams Family movies weren’t actually very good, many people never even saw them but they want the pinball machine because it’s $$$$$!!!! and because it is incredibly fun.
Some properties can sell the machine without the game being all that great. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, for example.
South Park is Okay.
It’s better if you like South Park!
I do, but it’s certainly no top 100 game… maybe not even top 250.
But that’s not saying it’s a turd sandwich made by giant douches.
It’s fun, it entertains, but a casual fan would have a hard time adding this to their collection. The one major selling point is the Vchip option, or rather deactivating it so the swearing can begin in earnest!
Is it a $3000 machine? No, but some people will pay that much or more. Value is only based on how stupid you are willing to be in order to own something.
I’m not that stupid, I passed on one at $2400 because it was too much, even if I am a South Park fan.
In perfect operating condition, that would be a decent price, but the one I looked at worked, but needed a lot of little fixes… and flipper rebuilds.
Most people get rid of machines they are tired of. Most of the time to make room for something new. This one ends up being traded out a lot, and can frequently be found in operation out in the wild, which probably says something positive and negative about South Park.

Clearly based around the most basic crude humor from the first season of the show, which is to be expected since it was made in 1999. I love the show and would love to see an updated version of this game that involves the more clever comedy of the show. Even Matt and Trey knew that "Oh my god, you killed Kenny!" would only go so far. Still, the game is fun for a few plays and has a good amount of nostalgia factor.

Very fun game that matches the theme well. If you like the show and the early episodes then you will enjoy this pin a ton. 6 ball multi ball with 4 different multi ball modes makes this a heavy multi ball game. Most shots are fairly easy but the Stan Pat Lawlor style pop bumber shot is tough to complete. Not the deepest game but represents the theme well and gets a ton of laughs.

I wish another South Park game would come out. This game certainly has it flaws, but it is still fun to play. I would put this in my top 50, I think this game is criminally underrated. I'm a sucker for a good theme that resonates with me and I really enjoy it. I would rather play this than so many other games out there. If you are a fan of the show, you will probably like the game.

Bought one of these for my brother in 2006 as he was a big South Park fan. You have to know what you're getting into with South Park. It's rude, it's crude, and so is the pinball machine. It's not an overly-difficult machine and most shots are easy to make. It's great if you're a South Park fan.
