“The music and quotes from the show clash horribly with the comical nature of the machine. You get the feeling The Sopranos is a sitcom or this pin is a parody of the show. Still, having nothing but loops and the very simple design is fun for a while as you get the ball shooting up in circles around and around.”

“What was Gomez thinking with this one? Very unoriginal design. A good example of a "fan-layout" game. George Gomez basically "borrows" Terminator 2's playfield (a little from Monster Bash), Big Bang Bar's show-stopper dancing go-go girl (Soprano's Bada-Bing girls), and Fish Tales' talking fish (also a talking fish here, only Soprano's fish is unfunny & annoying) to make The Sopranos work. Overall, doesn't do a very good job of capturing an audience not familiar with the hit HBO series. The adult-setting vox makes game semi-enjoyable. The translite looks like a bad press-photo from the show. The playfield art color scheme is god awful (picnic-table checkerboard) with lots of bad low-res photoshop around. The Sopranos theme plays during the game, but it won't take long for it to get on your nerves. You'll want to reach for the volume controls & mute the sound. Decent modes, multiball, and dot-matrix animations round out this less than stellar Stern effort, for an otherwise great license.”

“I was surprised that I liked this one. I love the theme. The layout is a pretty classic layout and pretty fun...nothing too gimmicky. Pole dancers were awesome, fish was not. If you like 80's pinball, you'll dig this machine.”
