My PinBot story

As a teen playing PinBot at the local hangouts, I hated it with a passion as a wicked quarter munching drain monster. I played it anyway just to beat it into submission. PinBot always won (damn outlanes)

Years later my daughter saw a pinball machine in an open garage as we were driving by. I made a mental note and about a week later driving by saw a distinctive red topper in there. Said what the hell, turned around and went over. Was a couple Harleys in the driveway and some bikers hanging out in the garage, Pinbot in the corner neglected. Looked it over and besides being dirty as hell with rotted rubbers, weak flippers, burnt bulbs and dead batteries seemed in decent shape. Topper was amazingly intact despite having no head bolts in, a broken backbox latch and a bungee cord going over the topper holding the head upright. Worked out a trade after a week or so , (he was reluctant, said he got it from his dad and it was in the house the whole time he was growing up, but his wife was all "hell yeah, get this thing out of here")

After getting it home, and cleaning it up, repairing some acid damage, etc. I fell in love with it. The first time making it to the sun and seeing the special light lit was sweet, as was hearing the "Million activated" callout.

I picked this up with the intent of using it as trade bait for another title, but having discovered the magic that is PinBot, I'm a convert and she's a keeper!
