Judge Dredd (Bally, 1993)

Judge Dredd was my first pin, and as such will always have a place in my heart. Dredd is a great, somewhat under-rated game. The art is pretty good, nice looking cab and playfield and a great translite, plus gold legs and a (hard to find) gold eagle perched atop the backbox. The music is some of the best in a pinball, great hard driving rock with some great voice calls and effects, but after awhile they can get a tad old... still well done stuff. The playfield is a big ramp fans dream, as with the exception of the drop bank pretty much every shot is a ramp shot, and this baby is fast! The rules are also good, but really, the lack of shots makes the games all feel about the same... what really makes them is the humor... shooting a sniper off the tower and waching him splatter, abusing the bad impersonator, blowing up speeders cars... it's all good, clean violence! Dredd is a good, solid game that can still be had cheap, give it a shot.   Click here to read more...
