A grail pin, just an all around great package. The use of the theme is so well done, so many elements of adventure and the films are incorporated so well here. It's a packed playfield yet it doesn't feel like you are fighting constant brick shots, theres always targets to hit and the sound package in this title is just phenomenal.

Had this game for 2 years in the late 90's. Sound effects are great, and there is a lot of fluidity. Video modes are really well done and logical (especially "Choose wisely"). Theme integration has nothing to envy to modern classics like Halloween, GnR or Godzilla.
Even by today's standard, the easy to understand ruleset is pretty hard to beat. Playfield artwork is kinda bland though, it gets the job done but there is no wow factor.
The well integrated John Williams orchestral score never failed to give me goosbumps. When you shoots the ramps, it's like the planes are shooting back at you when you hear "tac tac tac tac" ... I really like the sound work on this one. It was one of the first (if not the first) DCS sound system I think.
When the ball hit both slingshots you hear the sound effects from the scene when there is a big gunfight in Nepal in the first movie of the serie. It really draws you in this adventure. If you can find one in great condition, this is a big plus in any collection. Highly recommended.

My favorite theme and probably my 6th or 7th favorite all-time game. Every aspect is classic and still holds up 30 years later. The game play is exceptional and innovative like all of the other early nineties Williams/Bally wide bodies. The thing that puts this one over the top is the perfect visual and sound theming from one of the most classic movie franchises in history. In my mind are only a few other movie franchises with the depth of content to match the quality of IJ’s theming and dialogue (Star Wars, Bond, Avengers, and maybe Harry Potter). This far, none of them have.

One of my all time favourite machines, theme is spot on. Artwork on the playfield is a little dated but the game was built in 93 so I can't give it too much stick. Shots are a little narrow but overall its a very fun game with plenty of mechs and shots. For me its a classic.

One of the best themes ever as well as one of the best widebodies ever. From the music to the sound bites (thanks John Rhys Davis!), the game draws you into a world of adventure. People say Indy's face on the backglass looks off, and I can see what they mean, but it's still one of my all time favorites. The playfield and cabinet art is all very solid, but perhaps just pales in comparison to the insane modern cabinets we are getting these days. Would love to own one someday, but definitely tough when they go for more than most LE prices!

For many the best pinball machine. I haven't really warmed to the table yet. I've had about 20-30 games in different places so far. It will probably take a while before you learn to love the table. In the first few games, the playing field looks very crowded and there is no smooth flow of the game. Either the table is overrated because of the fantastic Indiana Jones theme, or I haven't really recognized the quality of the table yet.

Played this on the Williams Pinball app and then, briefly, at Pinfest 2022 in Daventry, UK.
It’s a great B/W-era pin packed with great sound effects, great features and toys (drop targets, planes, the temple), and some varied modes, e.g. the huge multi-ball multiball.
I suspect my rating would go up with more plays!

This game stands out among the great 90s Williams games, and that's saying something! A rare widebody game where it doesn't feel clunky or slow. It has plenty of shots and really interesting layout, like the elevated snake basket maze area, and the Plane shot/ramp for multiball. The art is really good, though I prefer animation over actual character faces, but they went light on the airbrush and did a good job for that particular style. Overall a very good game with lots of staying power.

Heard so much about this game, played it on vpin and then finally got to play the real thing.
Lots of fun, great callouts and music. I don't like widebody pins but this one is good. That said, it's not worth the money people want for it IMO. These sell for a big premium.
