Backbox & Videomode

Plastic Guns n' Roses logo on top of backbox

"Gilby rolls": The flipper buttons control gilby on his motercycle in a 'paperboy' style video mode where you have to try and run over pedestrians while dodging the cars.

Noteworthy features

  • Left ramp in the shape of a G, right ramp shaped like a R.
  • Left ramp can open up to let the ball roll down a 'right side' shooter lane with a whirlpool plastic as a skill shot.
  • Left side manual plunger shaped like a rose, right side autoplunger shaped like a gun.
  • 3 magnets under playfield engage during multiball modes, pushing and pulling balls in various directions.

Trivia

Lyman Sheats programmed the video mode for GnR, it was subsequently recycled in Sega's 1997 'Star Wars Trilogy' (with different art) and in Stern's 1999 'Harley-Davidson'
