Funland is a project game that I got when I first got into the pinball hobby a few months ago. To be honest I wasn’t expecting much because it has the smaller sized flippers. But it surprised me with how much flipper action there is. It’s addicting and has a tough but valuable spinner shot. Definitely one of favorite EMs.

Decent overall game, but nothing that really drives that "just one more game" feeling that better titles offer. The spinners are kinda cool, but the overall idea of dropping out lit numbers as portrayed on the playfield just somehow misses the mark. Could be that it's a random score, and since it's quite a large part of the potential scoring on this game, that's NOT something I want to see in a pinball... award the player with good shots.... not some random score!!! Not one of GTB's better wedgies in my opinion.

It’s a 1960s Wedgehead. Not the best example IMO. Nice spinners, that is about it. Theme is screaming for a moving target which would have been better. Not sure I get the motorcycles, but they went all in with that.

This classic 1960s single-player Gottlieb Wedgehead has wonderful playfield and backglass art that depicts a carnival boardwalk scene. The theme is carried over in the two "Duck" spinners and the ducks on the playfield, which light up different numbers that trigger bonuses as you spin the spinners. This is one of a handful of EM games that the Seattle Pinball Museum has included in its EM collection, and I'm proud to say that in May 2015 I added one to mine as well (pics coming!).

Spin to win at Funland.

The Pros:
The spinners on this game are wonderful. The Steinholm BG is one of his best. The combination of spinners and numbered targets keeps things lively all the way through the alternating special. Rip the spinners and have fun chasing that special as it jumps reom 1-10.

The Cons:
The PF and cab are full of meh.

The Takeawy:
A great Eeety Beeety Fleeeper game from Gottleib. I still have a preference for Snow Queen/Derby, but this game is fun in it's own right. Give this deck some time and it will grow on you.

Update:
The 5-50-500 random scoring from the spinners really make this game a luckfest. Have fun batting .333. Scores reduced accordingly.

I owned this game for a year and half.Very good game, difficult with the small flippers.Fun and challenging to make the shots to the top of the play field.Nudging required to play for longer times!
