Creature From the Black Lagoon has to be one of the finest players machines ever made, while still being accessible to newer and more casual players. No mere mode-fest here, the whole goal of the game is to spell FILM, get a deceptively frantic 2 ball multiball, save the girl, and collect some jackpots! The art on the cab and PF is really well done, the Creature looks creepy, the girl is hot and the cars are classic. The music is kinda generic-ized old rock tunes, pre-DCS sadly, but great voice calls and some hilarious quotes more than make up for this. The PF is really tight, adding to the challenge of the game, but there is PLENTY to shoot at, I just wish it was all a little less obscured. Finally, the gameplay is top shelf, with the FILM multiball being the main goal, but Move Your Car, Snack Attack and a great video mode ("Someone's watching us!" "I'll take care of him!") being highlights. Click here to read more...
