Did not have high expectations when I purchased this game. Seemed like a decent game that was fun to play at location. However, once I added to collection, it is now the game that gets most of the use. Love the fact that you play against the clock rather than having 3 or 5 balls per game. Same concept as Travel Time but has a much deeper game play. Trying to stop the clock and keeping it idle is a challenge and rewarding. The left shot to collect the bonus points is a challenging shot that has a very rewarding feel. Overall, love the game and it is staying in the collection.

Great multiplayer game. You can come back from last man standing.
I had 3 that is now complete and reliable.

To look at, it's as plain as an 80s flat pack wardrobe. It's got a certain retro style to it, but it's never going to be described as a looker.

I bought this game not for how it looked, but for what was underneath the pressed wood surface. The layout draws from Bally classics like Fathom and Flash Gordon, and the timed code is a leveler requiring tactics and skill to score well.

Look past the theme and the odd rules to discover a rare and fun gem.

I am lucky enough that I get to play this rare pin often. Such a unique game play experience, where you are not only battling for points, but mainly fighting to stop the ticking clock. The shot to collect your bonus on the upper left standup is nothing special & a bit repetitive, but that's the whole point. Stop the clock, build bonus & time, then collect. Rinse & repeat. Not as easy as it sounds. If you're failing away & losing precious time, best let the drain quickly & start again. How many games can say that?

IMO it's the best 4 player pin I've ever played. Last man standing has the best chance to win. Never a dull moment & you're not out of it until the clock runs out. Great great game. Very underrated, due to the fact most people have never played one.

Ok got this machine as a parts machine, spent some time and love and got it going good. A different type of machine with timed play gives this game a nice twist. Set to a 1:15 and hard settings, makes this a challenge to keep it going. Sounds and callouts are nice with that classic touch. Art is that Midway sticker BLAhhh. Backglass is ok and playfield is nice. The lights are classic and placed fine for the playfield with very little dark spots. With titian rubbers on, they make the ball bounce nicely. Fun game that has it's place in with the classic machines but not enough made to make it a widespread hit and hard to connect with the "timer play" in a arcade held it back. All in All it's a fun machine.

Really cool and unique rule set but once you build your bonus, it is just shooting the left saucer the entire ball.

Had a blast on this one, different, earn your keep, timer instead of "# of BALLS".

Good sound and voice letting you know where you stand: even complains if you don't plunge ball waiting.

True, it's no Safe Cracker but I still have to rate it worthy.

This game takes a while to really tweak people's brains in the right way, but once you learn that you have ONE BALL but with a long and extendable ball saver, people start getting in to it.
The theme is whatevs, some default idea to fit the concept, but it features a classic layout that plays oh so well on other machines. Drop bank, third flipper, bonus collect hole, and bonus hole at top amidst the rollovers.
Very rare, so do not hesitate to play one or pick one up. The playfield design is emblematic of that era of solid state machines, even if the rules have been upended.

This game,s theme is so unique in that you play to win time units to make the game last longer . you have a clock which counts down but if you hit targets you can stop the clock and also add more time to it . I found the better players usually used 1 or 2 balls a game and not so good 10 to 15 balls a game . Love this pin and for 1985 it was way before its time .. Get it .

This was/is my first pin. Got it for $250, which seemed like a steal for a working solid state pinball. The game play is based on how much time you have on the clock, not how many balls you have.

I think my favorite thing about it is the voice speach. It reminds me of a "Speak 'N Spell" if you know what that is. It says "you're taking too long" if you don't shoot right away. And when the games over it asks "another game perhaps?".

The play field art is ok I guess. Backglass the same. The cabinet art is really just a Bally logo.

I wish it had a multi ball or a ramp.

This game is best suited for kids, cause you get you're money's or times worth. I average like 9 or 10 balls a game. Again, its about time and not balls.

Once you learn how to play, it does get rather addicting. Stopping the clock or spelling "TIMER" really changes the game score.

I would say this has/is been a good starter pin for me. I had to clean the entire playfield and all solinoids...bumpers and drop targets. But now i know how a lot of that stuff works. I'm gonna probably sell it here. Hopefully get double what i paid when I'm done shopping...

The first time I played beat the clock I was thoroughly confused (it didn't have a rule card and other than it was different as a timed game... I had not idea what to do). Fortunately, I encountered another pinhead who had one in his collection and raved about it. So I had to see what it was all about.

The Pros:
This game has lots of great shots that require you to think before you shoot. I especially like the tight lanes at the top left and right hand side of this deck. The computerized audio voice is perfect for this vintage of pinball game. Collecting bonus is key on this table and the right lane/left saucer combination with the multiplier (that you lose if you drain) makes sure that you make the most of your ball in play even though this is a timed game. Drops with standups behind them are always welcome on a pinball game in my book. The constantly ticking timer makes every shot count. The sense of urgency with this game is ever present. The keyboard game adjustments I/O system helps big-time with the customization of rules and difficulty for game fine tuning.

The Cons:
Not too many made and I bet a bunch were sacrificed to the pinball parts god. The art is meh on the BG, serviceable on the PF.

The Takeaway:
Christian/Ramunni is not my favorite combination on a game. However, I will say that this game is a real player, once you know work the clock and how to prioritize your shots. I can also understand why this game did not test well or why people did not like to play it. The rules and how-to of this game is not readily apparent. Timed games just seem to go against the flow of most people's understanding of everything pinball. Even Safecracker (which is completely made of awesome) suffered from this and there was a DMD to help players out with this game.

Find one and get to know it, I think you'll like it.

Update:
Stop the clock, collect at the saucer at the top left. Rinse and repeat. Not easy, but can get repetitive. Surprisingly good as a multiplayer. That may be the secret of this game. Have fun with your friends!

Play the clock not the balls.
